do you ps at work???

Hi All,

Do you all Pricescope at work??? I love taking short breaks to check out what other ppl write and to comment! My job isnt the most social, and I'm a very social person, so this is the most social interaction I get while at work!!!


EDIT: I didnt realize this posted, my computer was being funky at the time...let's say the 1st one is yes and 2nd is no : )

I am one of a total of THREE people at my company with my own cubicle.

Everyone else sits in a big room together down the other end of the hall, where I imagine they all joke around and party ALL THE TIME. I guess it''s nice to have privacy, but I am ALL ALOOOONE all the time, so I really need some sort of interaction. Um, and entertainment.

I always takes breaks at work to check out PS. It''s fun!
It''s like a treat for me. I make my self finish something so that I can surf PS for a while!

BTW-I think you need to fix the poll, both answers say the same thing.

OMG, I do the same thing. I work mostly at home. It only takes between 15 minutes and 2 hours on most of my jobs outside of the home. Then I get to come home and produce the transcripts on a deadline. If I''ve been a good girl and done my work, PS is my reward. If not, I''ll see you guys in a few days.

I work to damn hard to be on PS while I'm at work!

Oh Lord, you have no idea. I have become a total addict. I do data-entry work and billing for my company, so I''m always on the computer. While I wait for their Oracle system to digest information I flip into another window to view pricescope! I''m so bad!

No way. My company has a policy on inapproprate internet and email use.

Step 1 (if applicable): is your site business related (news articles related to work are OK - but watch how many other news items you look at)

Step 2 (or 1 depending): You get "couched" in private about appropriate internet and email use.

Step 3 (or step 1 in extreem cases): Supervisor and security guard shows up at your desk. You clean out your personal belongings and are escorted to the HR department to sign a few papers - and then offsite. Since you have just been "Fired" for cause, you are not elegible for unemployment comp for I believe 3 months.

Step 3 has happened a couple of times in the last few years.

Oh my gosh!! I''m now addicted to this site! I''m supposed to be writing a masters thesis, but all I can think about is getting engaged, rings, being married, etc. I really should stop because my BF told me we won''t be getting engaged untill next summer, but come on, I''m much more into my future family than a masters thesis!

I''m a bad girl. Not only do I PS at work, I also BC x2 (that''s BABYCENTER)...I participate on 2 boards, one for my 3.5 year old and one for my 1.5 year old.

I work from my house and have NO interaction with people for most of the day since my kids are at school. I check in at PS here and there throughout the day. I get restless sitting in my chair at the computer for hours at a time, and PS is a nice little distraction.

Yes, but not while I am actually working. I will do PS while on my break but I will go to an area that is not in the unit and only for a few minutes to see if anything new was posted, or I will say to the person I am working with, I am on break now, but I am not going anywhere, I am going to just look at stuff online.

But I also work at home and need the diversion. However, I have tried to cut back these days and try to only read PS on my non-work computer. Which is why I am reading the boards tonight at 11pm!!!

I don't PS at work/school, I only treat myself to PS at night a few times a week and just see if anything new has posted... it's one of the only relaxing things I do for myself, and it helps my obsession!!

The wishy washy answer is that I try not to. However, when I posted my sapphire ring, I brought my laptop to the office. They have a wifi. Since I am a consultant, I don''t like to do other things than work when I am in the office, because I don''t bill for the time I am "playing."
