Does anyone get Colored Stone magazine?

Do you like it? Would it be o.k. for a beginner?

Yes, I used to take it, and I think it would be great for a beginner.

I took it for a year but didn''t renew it. It was okay but it didn''t offer me anything I couldn''t find online.

I used to work for Colored Stone magazine many years ago. If you are a beginner gem artist, have you considered the sister publication, Lapidary Journal/Jewelry Artist? It always seemed to me that LJ had more how to, step-by-step, product review etc. I looked at it more as the beginner publication even though the techniques being taught could be quite complex. The info sometimes was similar but more educational in nature whereas Colored Stone was more professional business articles, current events, political, show oriented. More for those really in the thick of the industry.
