Does anyone know the designer of the dress on the "BEAUTY: getting in shape" page on theknot.com?

Sorry I can''t help with this, but I did see a dress in a bridal magazine that looked a lot like the one you REALLY want to buy (with the sheer panel in front). It was a Carolina Herrera gown. I saw it and thought "snowhappy" would like that! Then I left the magazine on the plane- ugh.

Let''s see if I can find it. Sorry that this was kinda off-topic!

hello :) I know what dress you are talking about -- it''s beautiful! The seaming on the shear part is a little funny though :P

Do you think if I brought this picture to a bridal salon they would recognize the dress?

I bet one bridal salon is bound to know!

But I don''t know how many you are going to have to try before you find the winner! LOL

Wish I could help, but I haven''t seen that dress before...

I also would go to a couple of the salons and ask b/c they would be best to know these things. Is this the only picture you have of the dress?

What is the update on your wedding dress selection, have you decided? Or, is this the new choice you are thinking about?

Well *I* had decided and then my mom suggested we try on more dresses so it''s cool. We will probably go to Saks and try on some stuff and also go visit the other dress as well :)

I think as long as the dress you currently want doesn't get sold, shopping around is will never hurt. Either you will be more sure of your decision, or you will get a better dress than the one you initially wanted.

For me personally, that was not exactly an option b/c it was a trunk show and I couldn't go back to the store and try on the dress again - I would have to work off of memory. Plus it would have been an extra $1,000 and I don't think I would have been comfortable with buying it then, knowing I could have paid $1,000 less earlier.

totally! trunk shows are such a great deal...and your dress is AMAZING. Do you have any pics of you in it yet? Any decisions on the veil?

Nope not yet, I bought it in January and they said it will take 4 months for it to come in. So I guess I may have a fitting at the end of may. I will definately post pics with all the veil and accessory options on a different thread.
