Does this yellow diamond ring sound over-priced?

For some reason I can''t upload pics but , here''s the information about the ring :

"Tiffany & Co." 1 extremely rare Emerald Cut diamond 0.95cts Natural Fancy Intense Yellow / VS1
Set in an 18K yellow gold solitaire mounting.
Total Price $7,500


I normally prefer diamonds to be between 3-5 carats but this one is very beautiful and unique,

I''ve researched the price of yellow diamonds online and there are greater carats for less money.

My thinking is that it''s on the expensive side for it''s size because it''s a Tiffany piece.

It''s not a brilliant cut , which is fine because I prefer not to see so many cuts in the diamond.

It''s just very pretty. The combination if the yellow diamond with the yellow gold is so warm and beautiful.

Anyway , I thought you ladies might share your thoughts on a ring of this description.

In-the-know PSers said that the yellow in the stone (both rings) was primarily due to reflection from the setting. It is a tasty ring, at first glance. I was drawn to it, too, but...

Thank you so much for responding and including the link.

I had never even noticed the "band" in the middle.

I was drawn to it because I love yellow diamonds (not so much brilliant-cut ones) and I love the warmth of yellow diamonds with yellow gold.

It reminds me of Heidi Klum's ring.

Hmm...

I guess that it's a little pricey and I'm scared of the "tricks" that some of the posters were talking about when it came to getting the all-over yellow.

I like some of the rings over on the "Diamonds By Lauren" website. I haven't heard much about the quality of their diamonds but , some of the yellow non-brilliant emerald-cuts look pretty. I e-mailed them asking about the prices on three pieces but , I haven't heard back yet.

I think I'm going to have design a custom piece because not many offer the yellow gold band which looks great with yellow diamonds. I also like very thin bands which aren't that popular either.

I think a nice 2.5 - 3 carat step emerald-cut yellow diamond solitaire of medium color in an 18k thin gold band would be beautiful.
