Dog Haiku

I love my master;
Thus I perfume myself with
This long-rotten squirrel.

Today I sniffed
Many dog butts -- I celebrate
By kissing your face.

I lie belly-up
In the sunshine, happier
than You will ever be
I sound the alarm!
Paperboy-come to kill us all-
Look! Look! Look! Look! Look!

I sound the alarm!
Mailman Fiend-come to kill us all-
Look! Look! Look! Look! Look!

I sound the alarm!
Meter reader-come to kill us all-
Look! Look! Look! Look! Look!

Garbage man-come to kill us all-

Neighbor''s cat-come to kill us all!

My human is home!
I am so ecstatic, I have
Made a puddle

Sleeping here, my chin
On your foot - no greater bliss - well,
Maybe catching cats

Look in my eyes and
Deny it. No human could Love
you as much as I do

The cat is not all
Bad-she fills the litter box
With Tootsie Rolls

My owners'' mood is
Romantic - I lie near their Feet.
I fart a big one.

"My Milo"

Although you cannot speak,
Your eyes say everything you think.
You stay by my side when I''m weak
But sometimes you literally stink.
You''e the best friend I''ve ever had
When you won''t come inside, though
I get really mad!

We built you a doghouse
You won''t go inside it,
Maybe one of these days
You''ll break down and try it.

Every time you get sick
At three in the morning
I don''t mind at all
I just stand by the door yawning.

We''re such total soulmates
I just can''t believe
That someone like you
Found someone like me.

When you stretch out in bed
And shake the covers off your head
I can''t help but giggle
At your sleepy little wiggle.

When we play catch
All you want to do is fetch
I don''t mind your slobber
Though my clothes find it a bother.

Someone could offer
All of their dough
But I would never
Give up my Milo.
