out my dream, remember when I went to Tiffany's not long ago and then posted about it here?
I said QUOTE: So then she showed me a .37 Novo vs. one of the Tiffany Settings (can't remember which one) and said they were about the same price. Well, when she held the Tiffany Setting by the Novo I think I was more attracted to the Tiffany Setting. I put the .37 Novo on and I commented that this stone got "lost" in the band because it was too small. From holding my hand out, you couldn't even see the center stone.

Now the dream will make more sense:

So my dream...The boyfriend has a Tiffany (even in my dreams, ha!) ring box and gets down on knee..He opens it..It's a Tiffany ring!!!

But it really wasn't because they don't make a ring that looks like this. Although, I think it was sort of like the Novo. So Im guessing it was supposed to be that. This ring however had a center round stone with a cathedral setting and bead set band
me: Yes!! I shout out to him, Yes I will marry you!!!

I didn't even care about the ring at this time.
him: Oh.........I uh...didn't ask you to marry me. This is however, an engagement ring though. I just thought you would want to wear it now...
me: Now? So.....your not asking me to marry you?

him: HA! No, not now. Maybe someday. I just thought you would want to wear the ring now.
Confusion and sadness. But obviously I took the ring. ha!

So I get the ring on and Im looking at it and feeling disappointed. Because I thought we decided together that we didn't want this setting anymore.

Still thinking this is the Novo for some reason but it really wasn't. (this is where my previous REAL trip and quote up above to Tiffany's helps this to make sense) Back to the dream: So Im upset because the center diamond is too small for my taste and it blends in with the bead set diamonds too much.

I didn't say anything to him about it because turns out even though the center diamond was tiny it was an F color. haha!

I can't believe I remember all this....

Suddenly Im looking at the ring again and its the same ring but the bead set diamonds are missing and its now a solitaire. Im even more upset because this ring was made wrong! It was the ring that was supposed to have bead set diamonds in it.
me: I don't know why you bought this, the diamonds on the side are not there, they are supposed to be there, they are missing!

him: Well your the one who thinks TIFFANY'S does everything so perfect! Look who's wrong! Nice going!

me: Well you should have known better than to just hurry up and buy something! Did you even look at it?

But, they did make a new wedding band that is plain. So maybe it's still the same style but without the bead sets on it.
him: Well, that's just the one I liked for you.

What can I say?

Next thing I know, the ring is a ruby instead of a diamond. And Im thinking how much I regret getting the ruby ring, it doesn't sparkle like a diamond does. Now I've got to wear this the rest of my life and I don't even like it!!!

That's all I remember. It's pretty funny but I think Im gonna smack him over the head this evening when he comes over. Only because he gave me a ring and then didn't ask me to marry him.....haha

What'd ya do that for?!

Do you ladies think I should tell him about this dream? I usually tell him about my dreams. But this one was just plain mean...................lol!

ok first.. OMG to your dream, sounds like something id have too, except i havent had any about rings, just crazy wedding dreams, hahaha.

Second, I think the Novo might have been the first one I tried on, and it was nice, but for the price, it wasnt worth it. Plus you have to get a pretty large stone for it to look nice.. prob over 1ct in my opinion for it to look nice. but i never thought id like a solitaire but i do love their solitaire for some reason, and was deciding if i liked mine or the solitaire but FF said I made such a huge stink before about having diamonds on the band I had to get the bead set im happy I did though, I <3 it

i sometimes have those dreams, too, the most recent one involved a yellow diamond set in BLACK PLASTIC that somehow morphed into something akin to a tiffany legacy by the end of the dream...? though i''ve had many.. and in all of them the ring is a source of disappointment. i think it''s because my best friend recently told me how much she hates her engagement ring and it made me soo soo sad, i''d hate to be in that situation! in real life i''m sure my boyfriend will do a great job, but apparently i''m subconsciously really concerned with the possibility of a ring i don''t love... too much PS!!

anyway, i wouldn''t tell him. i''m trying not to mention engagement at all though, i think i''ve pretty much talked that to death, lol!!

lol blondebunny- Yeah, Im not sure if you read that post from a while back ago but I tell the story of my Novo drama. I was in love with this setting. Tried it on once, only looked other times and then tried it on at this past visit. FF NEVER liked the Novo for me. So this past time we looked at the ones he liked for me (Tiffany Setting, RB with Tapered Baguettes LOVE THEM BOTH) then as I noticed, the Novo is not any good IMO if it isn''t over 1ct, just like you said. But I think well over 1ct.....it really does get lost in the band and then sort of looks like a wedding band to me.......

Oh, and I''ve only had just crazy wedding dreams myself. Never a ring dream.....haha!

vita- Yeah, I bet these ring dreams ending in disappointement is due to worry about what we will end up getting. I used to force the Novo situation on him but after that last trip to Tiffany''s and we looked at rings together for the first time, I was really surprised by his taste. I mean, I knew he liked the Tiffany Setting for me, but to point out the RB with Tapered Baguettes....yes please!

I had told him after that trip that I think I will let him decide what to get me in the end because really, its more fun that way I think. But I guess the bad part is wondering what he will end up getting. (and I really want a Tiff) And I''ve mentioned diamond size to him before, well more than once and he had once said maybe we can look again someday! I really shouldn''t worry. ha! Maybe your right, too much PS!!

Well I am glad I am not the only one that has these dreams I had a doozy the other night.

We were in a drive-thru to pick up my ring from Leon (who was at the drive thru) and my ring was nothing like the work order (I grab the wordk order at this stage) it was a HUGE pyramid that you could remove the top and have a huge triangle underneath all with scattered diamond chips needless to say I was horrified and started crying, I walk up to the drive through window and start crying to Leon going it is nothing like the work order it is not even my diamond please change it. I am still crying and pleading and he is like it is a work of art and I refuse to change it but I keep asking so seeing how upset I am he decides to change it but then he realises he sold my diamond to this other girl who ate it (the diamond morphed into a doughnut) I was furious and was like who eats a such an expensive thing.

Determined to make it up to me he makes me a ring with a approx 2ct fancy red-pink intense diamond centre (stunning rich colour) and a really intricate design it was unusual but I am still crying because all I want is my diamond, even though this is bigger and more expensive then I wake up and tell the FF who laughs at me.

I had a crazy dream like this 2 nights ago after I had seen an episode of ellen where a solider proposes to his gf on the show through a satellite and the show gave him a $15,000 hearts of diamond ring to give her and then i dreamdt that i got to have a $15,000 ring like that and i told SO this and he laughed and said "in your dreams" and then he realized what he said and laughed even harder.

That''s crazy! It must have been dream night last night. I had a dream where everything was set like he was going to propose and then he opened the jewelry box and inside were some heart shaped earrings and a heart shaped diamond necklace (I really really really dislike hearts). So then I was really confused because not only was it not a ring but it was also something I''d never wear and he''s like "I know you don''t like hearts but I had to get this for you because when you put them all together they make one giant heart." Which made no sense at all. And then realizing that I was not really happy he said, "Oh, yeah, we''re not getting engaged for at least another 2 years." It was a rather disappointing dream

I did end up telling him I had a dream about him getting me heart jewelry (just to make sure he was never going to go down that path) and he said, "WHy would I do that? You hate hearts?" So I felt much better in the end.
