I tried on 3 dresses from Nicole Miller, but I''m totally stumped. I love one dress, but it is $1900, and I don''t want to spend more than $400 on my dress, so it''s out. The other two I feel "eh" about. Then, of course, I can always get the JCrew Vivian Dress (http://www.dcnearlyweds.com/uploaded_images/jcrew-717867.jpg) on ebay for something like $125, but I can''t try it on so I don''t know how it will look. I need ideas/advice!

This is the 2nd dress.

This is my favorite dress.

#3 is amazing! However, I agree- probably not worth $1900. #2 is not that flattering, I think. Makes your hips look very large in proportion to the rest of your rockin'' bod. #1 is just kinda blah. You''re right.

How long have you been dress hunting? Are you at the beginning? I love the neckline of #3, and I think you should be able to find similar dresses that may cost less.

As for buying a dress you haven''t tried on, I highly discourage it. A dress could look fabulous, but not on your body. Also, dresses can look amazing on the designer''s website, but when you see them in person, look very cheap and cheesy.

I think number one is extremely flattering on you. In fact, when I first scrolled down, I thought that must be the expensive one. The only difference that I notice between that and number three is the notch neckline. Could you perhaps have number one altered to add a notch neckline? It shouldn''t be too difficult. I agree that number two is blah. Have you visited sites like www.preownedweddingdresses.com to see if there is anything you like in your size? You can search for dresses under $500, which they have in a seperate catagory, which would make things easier.

I think #1 is beautiful! But #3 is my favorite. #2 is--well, I don''t care for the front. I like the back though. Even so, I don''t see anything wrong with #1. It''s quite classic, and with the right accessories, it could look very unique.

Another Nicole Miller bride here

. Not sure what your time frame is, but NM has HUGE end of season sales. I got my gown for 70 (or was it 80?)% off, so if you can wait, you can see if maybe it goes on sale. Actually, it might be worth calling ''anonymously'' and asking if it might go on sale.

I think 1 looks gorgeous too, but 3 is the most gorgeousest.

I don''t know what my deal is, but 90% of the time I disagree with the PS popular opinion on dresses. Maybe we just have weird fashion sense in LA

So take it with a grain of salt when I say that I prefer #2 100 times over to #1 and #3. It depends greatly on the type of wedding you''re planning... but numbers 1 and 3 have an extremely sleek and simplistic looks, while #2 has a romantic flow to it (not to mention givin'' you some CURVES--but again, to some people, that''s a bad thing).

I am in the minority too... I love #2! Its the type of thing I would go for myself. It looks lovely on you!

I wore a Nicole Miller so I''m always excited to see her designs on others. I love #2. I think it''s quite flattering on you, at least from what you can tell in a photo :)

I have to agree that number two does the most for you. It shows of your curves and the neckline is great with your face.

I love #2 but I think #3 is the best of the choices.

#2 looks beautiful on you (sexy and romantic/flowy at the same time), but I think it is less formal. However, if that is the style of your wedding, then that''s perfect!

#3 is the most elegant and also looks fantastic on you.

Me too, musey! It was the flow and drape of the chiffon that got me! And being a curvier gal, I just want to say, "what''s so bad about hips, anyway?"!
