How much did your bustle cost? I think I am doing the simple kind where you pin the train up. Not the french bustle. I want to make sure not to get ripped off.

If they''re just putting on buttons at the waist & loops on the train, I was quoted at $8/button at one place. You should really do multiple buttons to hold it more securely (3 or 4, or more depending on the weight of your gown), just in case - you don''t want to have to carry it all night!

the standard quote i''ve gotten is around $10 per point.

David''s Bridal quoted me $45 for any bustle. What a rip off!!

I had mine done at David''s Bridal for $25 even. They hid the 3 hooks under the lace of my bodice which was really nice. I chose to go with DB''s (even though they cost a little more than other places) because they clean it and check & repair the beading as part of the service.

I got mines done at David''s Bridal for $25 too. Mines was a 3 points over bustle. The dress was so much easier to walk in bustled up.

I''m not sure what the breakdown on mine was because I paid a total of $65 for ALL of my alterations: 12-point bustle, hem/train adjustment, take in sides of top, add cups to top. It was a great deal! I went through a local (non-chain) dress shop seamstress.
