What do you think of this dress ladies? I''m not sure yet if I''m going to wear separate dresses for the civil and religious cermonies (a few weeks and a few 1000 miles apart), but i''m leaning that way given the room in my budget. Anyway, what do you think of this one?

This specific iteration of the gown is WAY big on me, should be fitted to the hips.

How the heck do you spell "sequal/el" anyway?

Last one for now. This one was intended to give a better idea of the lines once it''s taken in.

Personally, I don''t think this dress is even comparable to your silver number. Your silver dress is absolutely fantastic.

That being said, it all depends on the mood you want for both events. Do you really want two dresses? Is this one fairly inexpensive?

Indy, this one is pretty, but nothing spectacular. Your other dress is a knock out. Two totally different feels.

On this one, I''m not a fan of the demure neckline. I''m not a hooch, but it could be better IMO.

You have such a great figure!

I really like it! Yes, it''s totally different than your other dress but is that what you''re going for -- two different looks? If so, this one could fit the bill. I like the neckline -- I''ve never seen a scalloped (?) neckline before. Are there others you''re considering as well?

i don''t love this dress. its "nice", but not WOW!

Ditto! I agree.

This dress is "eh" and your other dress is "knockout!"

If you have room in your budget I''m sure you can find a gorgeous a-line, but this one doesn''t do much for me.

You have an excellent figure, a dress should really bring that out--this one is a bit too much in the hip area for me. (Note: I did not say YOU are a bit too much in the hip area, so don''t think I''m getting snarky!)

Haven: In terms of the hips, that's extra material that would be cut out, according to the seamstress. So it would skim the hips, not flare so much.

But I think you guys have talked me out of it! Part of me is wondering whether I'll regret not having worn a proper wedding gown when I had the chance. But why look "ehn?" when you can look "WOW!" just so you can wear a big white gown, which was never a big deal to me anyway.

I had tried this one on on one of my expeditions and thought it was lovely...it was Number 2 on the list after the one with the fur. Then I ended up snatching up the silver one. But it turns out I found this dress at a significant discount which made me think "hmmmm..." I could still be WELL within my budget and have two dresses.

But there are certainly other things I could spend that dress budget money on!

One thing I was thinking is with the silver one, I won't be able to do anything wacky with flowers or headgear. With a simple, elegant dress I could do a feather headpiece or a really funky bouquet.

But, I do think you guys have talked me out of this one!

Okay. I SEVERELY dislike it. You stunning model-like figure looks Hippy, small chested pair shaped and blob-like.

Beyond that it''s bland, boring and banal.

Have I mentioned that I SEVERELY dislike it?

Please keep looking.

How about finding another traditional wedding gown that still has that wow factor? I''m sure there is something out there.

As for the hippy issue--I''ve been out of the costume designing field for about five years now, but that dress looks like it''s just cut to flare out too high, there are a ton of them out there like that, they just don''t flatter anyone.

There are so many great traditional gowns out there, I''m sure you''ll come across one that fits the budget AND looks smashing if you keep looking.

Good luck!

The front doesn''t wow me, but the back view certainly does. If you want a dress that says "this womazn is getting married today," look for a gown with a back view like that one!

BTW, what happended to the fur-trimmed dress?

I agree. Im not overly in love with it

I guess I''ll go against the grain... I''m a simple kind of gal, and I REALLY love this dress, neckline included.

I give it a "Meh" out of 10.
You have a killer bod and this does nothing for it! I feel like it is hiding the personality that I *think* you have....NEXT

Not feeling this dress, at all. It really doesn''t flatter your figure well, IMO.

I like it. lol.
I think getting it fitted to you would make a big difference.

I''m with mela lu on this one. It gets a "meh" from me. Maybe I would have liked it better had I not seen the other one, which is such a drop-down-and-worship-me dress! This one is pretty, but the other one is STUNNING.

Agreed!

Plus I just love the way Aloros worded it.

That other dress is such a "drop-down-and-worship-me dress", it makes this one look ordinary and plain.

Ditto most of the replies...your other dress is so vivacious that this one pales in comparison!

I think you could find one that fits you and your personality sooo much better...you''ve got a great figure, so show it off!

With that figure, you could wear a sack and look gorgeous; however, after the silver dress, this one seems... well, boring.
Whatever happened to the mink trimmed one? That sounded fabulous enough to stand next to the silver dress.

I think this one is gorgeous. I love the drape, the fabric and the timelessness of it. I know you love your silver gown...And that gown is what people will notice for sure. But if you''d like some photos of you in more of a timelessly elegant look, I think this one is perfect! I''d trade my dress in for this in a heartbeat!

Thanks for the feedback. It is definitely less "me" than the other dress, but I think once the side seams were taken in to fit me that it''s really a gorgeous dress. The fabric is sumptuous.

Buuuuut, I totally hear those of you who are "ehn?" or "meh." Plus, now that I''ve been checking out reception sites and feel more confident that we''ll be going with a slick modern place, I think the silver dress is more appropriate. Of course, I could always be all bridey for Wedding P.1.!
