Hi Ladies!!

I don''t post too often but faithfully follow all the stories here and now I am in need of some help. My sister recently got engaged ( I know I am a bad LIW for not posting the story I am so sorry nor do I have ring details since she does not know them beyind size :S) and her wedding will be this upcoming July. I have pretty much been told that I should wear blue, but it can be any kind of blue I like and I can choose the dress.

It is an afternoon wedding, ceremony outside where it will be HOT and then the reception will be indoors. I need to have my shoulders/arms covered for AT LEAST the ceremony (no cap sleeves, short sleeve, 3/4 or long). Beyond that there are no rules. I really want to wear flats to the wedding for a few reasons including I do not want to tower over my 4''11" sister in standing photos since her 6''2" husband to be will do enough of that and also because this will be a party heavy on the dancing. Ergo, I want to wear a long dress so no one can see my shoes. Problem? Day time wedding and I do not want to look toooo formal.

So I have some ideas in my head but I thought you ladies could possible expand my horizons. I am in Canada so a company that has dresses to order in what ever colour you like would be awesome. So the colour doesn''t matter too much looking for style inspirations :) I can wear pretty much anything style wise I am 5''2" with like a 25" waist. :)

thank you in advance for all your wonderful ideas!! (sorry it was kinda long in order to not make it too long I''ll try and post the engagement story later on since it is really cute and we all enjoy a nice story)

Hey smiles!

Would you consider wearing a blue print dress like this one?

http://www1.bloomingdales.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=117015&CategoryID=9114&PageID=9114*1*24*-1*-1*1?PartnerID=LINKSHARE&LinkshareID=mH0jcSTu4.0-mO7b1gdxzU4bLWV4NHpz5g

They carry it in the BCBG stores in Canada.

I think it would look great with a short silver/navy blue bolero or wrap (for the ceremony) and with silver peep-toe ballet flats.

The material is very light and airy, making it perfect for an outdoor ceremony in the middle of summer.

i work next to a bcbg and havent seen it!! i will inquire. thank you its relly pretty you have the right idea!

Hope it works out - I actually bought that dress earlier this August to wear to a couple of weddings and got so many compliments. I met up with one of the brides just last week and she made a point of asking me where I got it.

FYI, not sure where you''re located in Canada, but when I saw it at the BCBG store in Sherway Gardens it was a bit more expensive than the the price I paid at Bloomingdales. If shopping from the US is an option, I would consider it.

Cheers!

This one''s cute. It''s a Jasmine B2. They have about 7 blues to choose from too!
