I love the princess look!!! And that''s what Im trying to go for....any help would be greatly apperciated!!!

I live in Chicago, Illinois if that matters

Thank you!!!

rk bridal seems to have them for a lot better value. I''ve emailed them from Ireland for some prices ages ago and they were much cheaper.

I got mine on ebay. Also check out preownedweddingdresses.com and the knot''s dress board. There are always girls on there selling their dresses.

Try calling Pearl''s place too, they usually price in line with RK.

Jaysbridal.net - It's a store in Gainsville, FL (or at least somewhere around there..)

Not meaning to threadjack here, but Robbie, did you buy from a store on ebay or from a person selling it? I am a little leary of buying from some of these places listed on there..

I live in Chicago too. I wore a Justin Alexander gown for my wedding which I purchased from Eva''s bridal in Oak Park. They are on the high end of the scale...and if you''re working with a budget, I wouldn''t suggest Eva''s...

But...

The reason I am posting is because when I purchased my gown I saw a warning they had clearly posted. They do carry Maggie S. gowns...but they were warning against buying Maggie S. dresses online or from online vendors...

Just like "knock off" bags...people have begun doing "knock off" dresses....

Wow, that Maggie dress is really lovely. I second the suggestions of RK bridal and Pearl''s Place.

Re: eBay. I think with any purchase you make on eBay there''s an element of risk. As a consumer you need to do your due diligance. Read the feedback and only buy from someone with 99% or higher feedback score. I think the knock off dresses are easy to spot if you read the posts. Look for grammar and spelling issues within the text of the post as well as photos taken off of websites. If you have a question or want more images, email the seller before buying. And if you DO end up buying a dress off of eBay, make sure you use a credit card and you go through PayPal. That way, if there''s anything wrong with the dress or you have another problem, you can have your credit card company and paypal help you resolve the issue.

Thanks Hudson - there are numerous veils and such on there for so cheap that I just wanted to know. I am not a part of this ebay revolution.. I rarely even look on the site.

Out of curiousity, what is the price range you are looking at? I bought my MS Dion dress 5 yrs ago for about $550 in upstate ny...
