so last night while SO was playing world of warcraft (yeah yeah he''s a nerd too) he asked his friend greg if he would mind being the best man since his best friend is so shy and not too comfortable in big social situations while i was sitting right there. is there any worst way to drive a girl crazy??? so i went in the living room and watched the wedding planner and then kept coming in to grin at SO and he was like someday, i was like someday soon? and he was like maybe, i guess you''ll just have to be patient and then he grinned at me. and then i said you are a boogerface and he laughed. then i had some ice cream lol.
and that was my wonderful night

That''s too funny - I''m going through the exact same thing! My bf has asked his best man and at least one of his groomsmen already to be in the wedding party. Funny part is he hasn''t asked his bride yet! I keep telling him he''s supposed to ask me to be his bride first! I know it''s because he''s just so excited to get engaged (and he''s custom ordering my ring - if he hasn''t already!). But still...our guys should propose to us before they start asking their friends to be part of this not-yet-planned wedding. Ha!

I feel your pain, my FF and I talk openly about a wedding and his parents know, and he has even gone so far as to ask my dad for his blessing. We are in the process of picking diamonds, b/c I have already settled on a setting, but the anticipation is killing me. And like you, he wants to help in planning all the details, so I can''t really do anything, agghhhh!

The worst part is I just ordered a new laptop (so i can be on pricescope while "America''s Got Talent" is on hehe) and now it is like having double the feelings of waiting for a ring, except now i''m stuck waiting for my new toy too!!! ugh!!!
