Dumb question - BM gifts?

When are you supposed to give BM gifts? I know usually at the Rehearsal Dinner - as a thank you for everything. But what about if they host your bridal shower? Am I supposed to give them thank you gifts for that too? Or am I supposed to just send them a thank you card? What about the bachelorette party?

We hosted a bridal party lunch the day of the rehearsal, and we gave them our gifts then. You can do it at the rehearsal dinner too, or the day of the wedding, if you have time, you could have breakfast with your girls and do it then.

For my shower, I personally paid for the favors. I bought everyone who attended a "The Girls" mug (see this link for examples), and one of my good friends (not a bridesmaid) filled them with little treats. It was really cute and allowed people to get to know one another better. I also wrote a personal note thanking each of my bridesmaids who helped, my maid of honor bought the bridesmaids who helped a little gift, and my mom bought the host a really nice vase.

I gave the BM gifts at the rehearsal lunch, as did DH with the groomsmen''s gifts. For the bridal shower, I sent thank you cards to the BMs for hosting it. I didn''t get them gifts...I hosted both of their bridal showers as well so I didn''t see the need.

I plan to take my bm out for a lunch and for mani/pedi in the afternoon the day before the wedding as part of their thank you, and also present them w/gifts (monogrammed pashminas, bm jewelry and jewelry roll) later that evening at the rehearsal dinner.

I think bc I''ll prob end up spending quite a bit on all of the above I''m just going to write thank you notes to them all after the shower/bachelorette.

Although now that I think about it I might give them the pashminas early as a thank you for the shower/bach so they know they won''t have to worry about finding a jacket or something?!
