My wedding photographer has sent me all the pictures from my wedding. I have full rights to them but I can''t do anything with them. The discs he sent are DVD-R. I only have a CD drive. So, can someone with DVD drive burn new CDs discs? Will I loose quality? There are currently 5 DVD-R discs. I''m assuming I''d have a lot of CD discs....

Help!

hmm. if they are DVD format... then I am assuming that someone with a DVD drive PLUS a CD-R drive would have to go through and take screen shots of each individual photo save it as a new file and then burn them onto a CD-R. I''m not sure though.. When you put them in your DVD player, what do they do? Just come up like a slide show? I''m really not sure. Thats odd that he gave you the rights to the photos but them put them in DVD format.

I can probably do it.

You won't lose quality. These are art files. The reason they are on DVD is because a DVD holds more. It looks like you have roughly 20GB of pictures.

What you need is a DVD reading drive and a CD Burning drive. Youd haveto copy all of the images off of the DVDs and then reassemble them into individual CDs

Its not hard, just time consuming.

Holy cow that''s a lotta photos!

Ame''s right. You just need someone with a DVD drive and a CD-R drive. Nowadays, you get computers with combo DVD/CD-R drives. It''ll be a ton of CDs tho.
