Earring ideas

I found a set of garnets that I love and I want to set them into earrings for my FI. This wont be for a Bday or anything special. Any setting ideas/suggestions? She does not seem to have a favorite type of earring, and I am thinking something dangly and elegant?

Those are exactly the types I am looking for Diamondseeker! I have a question though- all the WF listings say that the setting will not be shipped without a diamond set in it. Can I send them the stones to set into their setting? I had not looked at their site for this project because I had seen the "no ship without diamond" statement in the past. The post you linked was someone who sent diamonds to be set, what about garnets?

They would be gorgeous in dangle earrings. A local jeweler can probably make them for you as well.

I''m not much help I just wanted to say those are beautiful and will make wonderful earrings!

I second the idea of the "inspiration-al" leverback earrings from WF. I like that they don''t have the typical basket. The setting is more open so you can see the fantastic colour of the gemstone from the side. This is especially important in earrings because the earrings will never fully face forward when worn due to the natural angle of the ears. Also, WF will specially bend the jump ring to the correct angle so that your drop earring will not be facing down/up/sideways, etc.

Yup, I forgot to answer your question but yes, WF will set gemstones that your purchased else where for a small fee.
