I contacted Jewelryhoo2 (under the Chanxing Jewelry company) with a design to have a ring custom made. Nicole helped me all along the way. She was so wonderful, patient, professional, and helpful. Even with my multiple requests and design changes, my ring is perfect! Best of all, the price was great and the service was exemplary.

Here was the design I started out with:

The CAD with some design elements:

And the final product!

The picture of the etching on the gallery was blurry so I won't post it, but every detail is so beautiful. I am so pleased with how it turned out!! Honestly I was a little worried about ordering from China after my diamondmount experience, but JewelryHoo2 (and the associated sellers) was wonderful.

Wow, that's the first time I heard of one of the ebay China setting dealers using a CAD to do a design. In the past, you would just use one of their existing designs and tell them what changes to make via writing. It came out nice, and I'm very happy for you. Show us the finished ring when you have your stones set. Love the rose gold too.

Count me in as another who is surprised that they are now truly custom and the end result is nicer than expected for something made in China.

Very pretty! That really turned out great :appl:

Looks like I'll be trying this out.

Beautiful setting!

I had seen a post on here where someone had a custom-designed 3 stone e-ring by LOGR which turned out lovely, but this is the first Jewelryhoo custom piece I've seen. Great info to tuck away for future reference, and thanks so much for sharing!

I contacted LOGR first and they waited a week to respond, said they were speaking to the jewelers, then never got back to me :( Maybe I'll try again with a pendant I want made... JewelryHoo responded right away so that's why I went with them. I'm really glad I did! I'll post again when I have the stones set.

Yes, I always got quick responses with Jewelryhoo, although it's been a couple of years since I bought anything from them. I've always been happy with the metal work, and the quality for the price.

Can you show us your ring when it is finished? I've hesitated going the Ebay route for settings because I am concerned about how the center stone will sit. I like it when the center stone is flush with the halo, and I have gotten the impression that with an Ebay halo, the stone has to sit higher of the halo, which makes for a profile that is not as smooth.

I specifically customized it so that the stone in the halo would sit higher up, so I don't know if my picture would be of any help to you! :( Here is the picture of the gallery (too blurry to really make out the etching, but it is gorgeous). You can see the prongs sitting up fairly high.

Very nice setting. Congrats.

Nice design. Are you happy with the diamonds?
I have always been disappointed with the diamond quality from these China-sellers. Not at all as stated.

I haven't had a chance to examine the diamonds under the scope yet, as I literally went right from the post office to my jeweler to have the stones set. It should be back in a few days and I'll let you know.

But from what I could tell (from drooling over it on the car ride over) I think they are of fine and appropriate quality for a $400 ebay china ring. I wasn't expecting them to be VS1/F color or anything, but they were sparkly and none were dingy or gray.

i'm curious how it all turned out?

the setting looked fabulous and i'm hoping with the stones set, it will look even more beautiful!! :)

I've been in contact with them regarding a custom ER I'm wanting to build. You seem pleased with the overall experience. I'm considering having them do the metal work and set the melee stones and then use a center stone I purchase over here. Or would you let them price out the center stone as well?

Fabulous--I love the design.

OP - do you have an update with the stones set yet? Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

I second the request for pictures!

Oh wow- this has been such a long time ago! I'm so sorry I never came back! the ring is spectacular. I wear it almost every day, and it's held up great. I've bought a sort of ridiculous amount of custom jewelry from them in the past few months... oops... :D but most of them use sims so I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post them here.

Mods, if this isn't allowed please remove it and my apologies!

The very first thing my fiance (then boyfriend) ever gave me was a mall jeweler created ruby ring. The original setting was crap and fell apart within a month or so of wear (we were long distance so it was wildly sentimental to me) but I reset the center into this ring, and purchased some little side stones to match. Here it is!

I got a quote from them to do a somewhat simple baguette split shank ring. Very reasonable and i will probably go with them.

Yes, no sims allowed but shhhh....I'm not telling since you updated us with pictures showing the quality of the setting you received. ;)) What is your opinion of the diamond melees and workmanship?
