I went and tried more dresses on yesterday and today, and now I'm soooooo torn between two dresses. The first I posted about earlier, and the new one from today is an Angelina Faccenda. I don't have photos of me in it (I really should have tried to sneak some - the ladies weren't paying any attention to me in the dressing room, but guilt got the better of me), but the website photos do a good job of showing the dress and how it fit me. The sample fit me almost perfectly - I would just need the bust taken in a bit at the very top. What do you guys think??

Am I missing something?

Sorry Party, I hit enter by accident - yay for the option to edit....

I really like the Angelina on the model and that photo shoot. The back flares at just the right place and the shirring or gathering on the front really emphasises the figure. I like this style of dress as they always look custom fit. How did the length look on you? Will you have that amount of train? It is really lovely. The only part I would be concerned about the top and it laying right. If you are confident in that area...I would definitely say the Angelina. It looks more couture to me.

I love it!!

LOVE the back!! The sales lady held the train up for a single american style bustle (pinned up on the outside) so it would hang from where the buttons end, and it just looked perfect.

The one in this thread is lovely and seems more custom fitted. Not sure the look you want or where the wedding will be, but I like this one. It calls out for a tiara type thing and not toooo much veil, or you will lose the sleekness of the dress itself. (just mho of course!) The other is great too, but something about this one is more refined to me if that makes any sense.

Thanks DKS! The more I post, the more I''m realizing just how much I love this dress. Despite being just a touch too big, the top really seemed to fit well. I tried pinching it at the side seams where it would be taken in, and I don''t think I would have any problems with gaping, etc. Really, this was the first time I zipped up a dress (that''s all it has - 1 zipper, no corset inside) and thought "wow, it''s like it was cut for me".

It''s BEAUTIFUL!

Thanks diamondfan! We''re planning an outdoor afternoon/evening wedding in September. I''ve been thinking for a while that I would like a non-poofy veil and some kind of sparkly side comb in my hair (which will definitely be in an updo), both of which I think will go really well with this dress. I tried on a single tier veil with very delicate crystals scattered in a pattern near the edge, and it went with the dress really well.

OH WOW! I absotively LOVE it!!! Ya gotta get it!

Lady, sounds great! Where is the wedding itself? (in general terms, you do not have to be too specific). It has a sort of glam ''40''s looks to me, I really love it!

Oh, DKS, about the length/train: I''m a little shy of 5''6", and standing on my toes to where I''d be in most heels it looked like I would still need it hemmed. Plenty of gorgeous train shall be had!

This second dress is simply stunning! If you can pull that off, I say GO FOR IT!!!

The silhouette of the Angelina Faccenda is gorgeous! If you loved the way you look in it, that''s my vote!

Do you have any photos of you in the dresses? It''s always so difficult to comment seeing only the models...pretty dresses though!
