Emerald advice

Hi all!
I’m looking for an emerald to use as the central stone in a 3 stone ring. I’m new to buying emeralds though I have always dreamed of them and they are my birthstone! I reached out to a vendor I read about on here with my budget and general size range and he sent me a few options. I would love to know your initial impressions and thoughts about which 3 or 4 I should really focus on and get more details & photos for. They are all Colombian and all have had minor to moderate treatment. I would take it to AGI for them to look at during the 14 day return window to confirm all the details.
I’m looking for something with good color and sheen and not much of a window!
Which of the below stones are your favorites? Any big red flags for any of them?

I know nothing about emeralds, but my eyes are drawn to the 5.95 (I mean, c'mon!!!) and the performance of the 3.92. Bumping for wiser eyes, but from that still, those are my two picks!

I know others are familiar with this vendor. But I am not. Are the treatments all the same type of oil/whatever. Or are they different types? Does that matter to you if it were?

Good point! I’ll ask for a video and ask about the different treatments. I’ve read a bit about the different types but honestly don’t know enough to know if one is significantly better than the other. It seems ppl disagree on this point!

Yes I’d like a video for each one to have a look at the cuts closely. And to check depth and evenness…. That said - the two end ones (ones in each end) and the 3.92 have the best glow in this particular photo and lighting.
outside shots/video would be wanted to.
Kind of sneakily wondering what your budget is at this range.

Yes a video and also when you’ve narrowed ask for photo or video in a ring holder. Emeralds are so difficult to photograph.

I also think ‘good’ color is subjective.
does the vendor have a color tutorial for you to discuss with them what color of emerald you wish to obtain closest to?
I think ‘duck neck’ is ideal and what others like - but not ‘my’ ideal - is what I mean.

they are notoriously hard to photo to true color. Falling in love with a color on my monitor may not translate well in real life!

Kind of sneakily wondering what your budget is at this range.

The prices for these stones range from $7,430 to $12,100 (the 3.7ct stone- which is honestly outside my budget). Am hoping to spend around $8k, give or take.

Yay video -- my favorites are still the bigg'un and the 3.92, but I'm now more curious about the 4.13 and the 3.22 on the far right. They've got the most life, and a bright color which is most appealing.

Though, tbh, ultimately I'll basically pick size every time, even compromising on quality. I'm *for real* shallow like that. 5.95 or bust!!! It's so BIG!

I like best 3.22! (honestly my dream look for an emerald) with 3.37 and 3.92 a tie. I'm assuming the big one is prob out of budget but obviously really nice too. What a nice dilemma to have!

I definitely like bright emeralds with lustre, so my eye goes to the three on the left and the two on the right. Of those, perhaps you can rank them in terms of treatment and shortlist the ones with least treatment?

I got some more videos & pics! This is quite a difficult decision! A very fun difficult decision though.

Some of them have very intense windows that bother me and I still think I like the 3.92 the best but I’m going to have to sleep on it and hope I wake up tomorrow with a more clear idea!

Those are my favorites too. The 5.95 is actually just a few hundred dollars more than the 3.92. This must be because of its color?

I prefer the 3 on the left and the first one on the right, with the 3.92ct being the one I like the most, based on the photo in the original post alone, and am not an expert.

Oh such a small diff? Being a size ho, I’ll go for 5.95 then. Then 3.92 cos I like the shape more than 3.22.

Am finding it hard to see diff in color/sheen from pics and video so am very shallowly going by size/shape for above.

What did the vendor suggest btw?

For me-

I would rule out 3.37 because you can see right through it. It is clearly quite a bit more shallow than the others. I also think it’s worth asking to see 4.13 because it is close to the 5.95 and 3.92.
