Emerald blue spot in certain angles

Blue Spot or Insel in my emerald

Hi guys,
Can you please tell me if this blue spot in this stone a bad or good thing is..is it worth 1500 euros? (0.5 ct emerald, 0.25 ct all diamonds)
It’s only visible in certain angles and only at this spot and I’m not sure if it affects the value of the stone.

Without further information I would say it is too expensive.

Is the emerald Colombian and unoiled? Then maybe that’s where the premium comes from.
Problem is that color is not great (rather washed out) and clarity is quite bad. I would value the emerald itself at couple hundred dollars, so the question is whether you want to spend 1k+ for that setting.

I must agree with @VividRed... I think you made the right decision. You were mostly paying for the diamonds and mounting. That aside, I believe what you were seeing was a fissure that was dispersing light (sort of like an oil slick effect). I hope you find just the right emerald! And welcome to the forum!!
