Please post some pictures of your emerald cut stones, other than emeralds. Particularly bluish stones.

Oh yay! I can definitely play in this thread!! Emerald cut is my favorite shape and anything similar. Some of these aren’t straightforward emerald cuts but very similar styles. I’ve got 4 tourmalines, 2 garnets, 2 sapphires, 2 aquamarines, 1 spinel, 1 heliodor, 1 tanzanite, 1 sunstone, & 1 diamond! Oh and 1 emerald snuck in! Oddly, I only have two rings with the shape, a rhodolite garnet & spinel with diamonds. I cannot wait to see what others post! :geek2:

@Hivona - Wow! Thanks for sharing all those emerald cut stones.
What is that top one in the 4-stone aqua lineup?
And the next to top one (Paraiba?) in the greenish lineup?

The top in the aqua line up is unheated tanzanite. It has a really neat steely green/gray/blue combination.

Unfortunately, I have no paraiba of any shape. That one is my only emerald. It was a gift with purchase! It’s quite light colored but I actually really like it. I have no certification on it.

1.49 ct Afghan tourmaline, faceted by Barry Bridgestock. It is very clean but what you see are my prints on the stone.

That is one amazing find. I LOVE the color and the enormous size. It must be so much fun to wear it. Truly a ‘go big or go home’ stone!

^^^ Both of them are beautiful...and match your lipstick perfectly.

That's pretty.

This is my 7.1 x 5.5 Afghani indicolite tourmaline. It is really hard to photograph. It is prettiest in sun, with lots of silvery blue flashes. It is kind of moody and darker on a cloudy day like today. Can you tell how the facets reveal different colors? It looks uniform in real life, but when you view from the end exis, it’s darker, giving a wonderful chunkiness to the reflections.

I am planning to set it like @Hivona did her lovely spinel and diamonds.

Here’s a blue topaz ring I found very inexpensively on Loupe Troop. 7 x 5 mm.

Gene Moriarty of MoreGems lists topaz among his top ten underpriced gems for its beauty.

Sorry if I’ve got smudges in my photos.

Here's my Tsavorite ring. It's not an emerald but it is green, lol.
