I am trying to learn to take and post photos. I thought I might have better luck with some colored stone jewelry than with the diamonds I am trying to post. Here is an emerald pendant I own. It''s got 7 emeralds in it, a large oval, three small emeralds and 3 briolettes. It''s set in 22K gold and on a 22K gold chain. It''s Indian (south asian) in origin.

Any hints on picture taking will be much appreciated.

That is a fantastic design and the rich 22kt gold really sets off the luscious green of the emeralds.

To get better pictures, try to take it in the shade outdoors during a sunny day or unshaded on an overcast day outdoors.

Yes, the color is the just wonderful. In my opinion, gold really goes with emeralds, especially high karat gold.
I also have a gorgeous ring. I might try to take photos of that too, following your advice. The sad thing though is that I don''t wear the ring very much, because I''ve had the stone fall out once already and I''m afraid. 22k is beautiful for earrings and pendants and I have a wonderful bracelet, but I don''t think it holds stones in rings very well, at least not in rings with prongs.

I have 2 gemstone rings with 22 kt gold. I've been fortunate the stones are secure but I'm too paranoid to wear them everyday. One of them has 4 prongs while the other has 10 tiny prongs.

Very nice pendant. I''d suggest an neutral or white background, so the color of the stones shows more. TFS I look forward to seeing photos of that ring.
