Emeralds...Show and Tell

Very eye catching! Nice setting for the emeralds. :geek2:

If you got the emeralds from Yvonne, I wonder why you went with David Klass instead of doing a custom project with Yvonne? I haven't worked with David but saw lots of posts saying it takes a while for him and his team to communicate. On the other hand, Yvonne and her team have been very very responsive. I haven't yet done any projects with Yvonne that required paid CAD work, though.

The price I see most often listed for Yvonne's CAD work is $300 but that varies according to the complexity of the project. Her CAD designer, Brandy Belinsky, is really good :-)

Those emerald earrings are amazing, @Rubybrick!

Thanks @Rad_Fan @peacechick And @voce! Voce, I love working with Yvonne and her service is top notch. I only went with DK because I was resetting my diamond pendant into a bangle at the same time. If I did go with Yvonne I think I would be comfortable without seeing CAD for this design, it was more for convenience on my part this time.
The lead time is a bit longer with DK, but he was upfront about it and I’ve had no issues with communication during the process.
Thanks for explaining. I'll look to see if you have a thread or post about resetting your pendant into a bangle. Thanks again for showing us your scrumptious emerald earrings. I love the vivid green with the yellow gold.

Overcast today for photos but I wanted to share!
These are Columbian soured by Yvonne raley and set by David Klass. The largest gems are just shy of 5mm

Wow those are my dream emerald earrings!
If you dont mind and if its not too invasive of a question, how much did the whole project cost including the stones?
They're stunning!

Thank you for the nice compliment! I am really loving wearing those. The gems are a bit over 2.5carat total weight, so just over $2000 at $800/carat. They are Colombian with light oil. The total cost set is just shy of $3000.

Antique Victorian 4 carat Colombian Emerald ring, with 2.4 carats of old mine cut diamonds in silver over 18k gold. This is my first sizeable emerald, and these pics do not capture the intensity or true color. The glow is absolutely unreal irl, and it’s the most transparent/brilliant emerald I’ve seen. It’s old cut as well. Like some fine quality Columbia’s emeralds, under Uv light it has a soft pinkish/red glow (not intense like a synthetic or a ruby). I need to send it to AGL, but it appears to have faint/minor oil, but AGL will say for sure! Would love any thoughts. Irl the color is a few shades darker and an intense green with lots of glow. These pics don’t really show it well.
