Engaged! Ruby ring preview

I just wrote a whole post and somehow it didnt post. So this will be short and to the point! I am engaged! I have the beautiful ring of my dreams (not to mention the man). I couldnt be happier. I am going to post a full thread, but I wanted to post a preview here. Last night we went out to dinner for my bf''s birthday. I kinda thought he would propose at this eight course japanese restaurant, he didnt. We got home, got into jammies then we went up on the roof. We have a three story townhome with a rooftop view of the chicago skyline. He mentioned how it was the place we had our first kiss and how i was the best thing in his life and how he wants to be with me forever, then he slipped my ring on my finger and asked me to be his wife. It was so sweet. so much more than i expected.... now he is my fiance.

I cant really figure out this picture thing, but i am trying. I will post this on SMTR once i get more pics, but here is a little preview of my beautiful, if not a bit top heavy, ruby ring!

What a sweet, romantic proposal and what a FABULOUS ring!!!! Of course I can''t wait to see more photos, make sure you post in SMTR & you''ll have to add them to the colored stone forum, too.

This is so exciting!!!! Have fun at your engagement pictures today... just an idea, but try to get the photographer to get a nice shot of just you and your FIANCE''s hands (either him slipping the ring on or holding your hand)...I think a picture like that would make a great cover for an engagement scrapbook!

Wow, wow, wow!!!!! Congratulations, that ring is to die for. It totally reminds me of the royal family rings, I remember Diana had a saphire with diamonds around it, and Fergie got a ruby like yourw with diamonds all around. I think your ring may even be bigger than Fergie''s!
