I guess if one REALLY loved one''s wedding dress, they could dress up every year as a bride on Halloween, right? RIGHT?!?

Ahahaha. That is a fine brainwave.

I know IG! How come I never thought of it before now?!?

*giggles* I like the way you think!

That sounds perfectly logical to me

I was actually thinking of thise earlier today when I was putting my costume on. Too bad I sold my dress!

I think I''m going to start wedding gown luncheons where all the ladies get dolled up and wear their gowns out for a day on the town. I think it could really catch on. I''m serious!

A few years ago one of my co-workers bought a used gown and dressed up as a bride for Halloween as a way of giving her boyfriend a *subtle* hint. Apparently they had a few parties planned for that evening, so all their friend got the hint too. She was engaged by Christmas!

The engagement didn't last very long...

Nah... it''s a totally different situation! Carry on with your planning!

My church had a wedding style show to raise money for.. something.. (haha I don''t remember) It was really cool because some women got to wear their dresses and I wore my grandmother''s! It was great to see some of the older dresses, like one from after WWII made from parachute silk!

If any of you ladies are into planning charity events, it was a huuuuge hit and so much fun to participate in!!

LOL! I love these ideas! I''ve thought of going as a bride for Halloween, but I don''t wanna jinx myself!

Now, after the wedding might just be another story! (All those ebay buys could be put to good use, one dress at a time!)

The moment I got my dress I knew that it would become a halloween costume after the wedding. I could keep it as is and maybe do a "bride of Frankenstein" type thing (so long as D was Frankenstein). OR maybe put fake blood on it and just be scary. I remember this old episode of Roseanne where Becky wore a prom dress and half of it was gruesome and the other half was typically promish--I could do that. We didn''t go to any parties this year, so I have another year to figure it ou.

The first idea I had for a wedding was a Halloween wedding and everybody would come in costume. I found this woman in Europe who made exact replicas of Scarlett O''Hara dresses (and they were more expensive than my wedding dress) and my plan was to buy one and be Scarlett, but D nixed the idea. The weather last Saturday was awful, so I''m glad he vetoed it.

I so loved my dress that I told Rich I would plan to wear it around the house while cleaning....just because I liked it.

LOL

It''s been 3 years since I''ve worn it, and I''d LOVE to wear it again. The wedding dress luncheon idea sounds WAY cool! LOL

Funny you sound post that, because I''m seriously considering doing that next year!
