That''s too funny...I had no idea that my FI was even thinking of proposing, so when I saw the box, my first thought was that it was going to be earrings! So I had the exactly opposite surprise.

I thought it was cute when he said he was all proud of himself for getting her jewelry, and just so...male.

Haha... For my 20th birthday, my then-BF gave my earrings that we'd picked out together. When he gave me the box at my birthday dinner later that day, my grandmother thought he was proposing! It was pretty funny. He did propose 14 months later though.

I think it's really nice that he likes to look at the men who get married and how happy and in love they look.

LegacyGirl, hmm, have you watched the Xmen series? He is the guy that played Cyclops. Did you like him? The reason I ask is my bf HATES the way the actor depicted Cyclops in the movie. I just thought it''s interesting, because I didn''t mind Cyclops at all (but then, I''m not a fan

). Maybe that''s why you don''t like him either?

I think he said that he likes to look at men because that was one of the topics in the movie...Although I will say that when I watched the scene in the movie I almost shouted "That''s what I look at too!! me too, me too!!!!"

Something similar happened to me last Valentine''s Day. As soon as I pulled a ring box out from the tiny gift bag, my hands began to shake...then I opened it up and saw a very beautiful ring that could not be confused with an engagement ring by any means. All I know is that I felt like such a fool and spent the better part of the night feeling horribly embarassed.
