Ever Hear of Negative Auto Depreciation?

This is too good to be true.

I bought my 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid April 2004 for $19,300.

I was considering getting the all new 2006 Civic Hybrid so I checked kelly blue book (kbb.com) to see what I could sell mine for, private party.

In my zip code, with 20,000 miles, kbb gives it a retail value of $20,185.

OMG These Hybrids are really HOT! right now.

That is interesting Kenny! I just drove the RX 400H today and it definitely has a different feel than my 330 but since my truck is paid off for, I pass for another 9 years or so hhhehe

It''s great when that happens! I know that the Mini''s were that way for at least a year - with waiting lists still pretty long, people were willing to pay more than MSRP for the car. I knew a few people online whose cars were totalled. Since their insurance policies indicated that they''d pay replacement cost of the car, they ended up making money on the deal by waiting for another one *at* MSRP.

Yup! My SLK did that the year it came out and my fathers SL500 did the same thing, both times becuase of the very long waiting list.

My fiance sells cars, and I asked him about that, and he said that it can totally happen.. but it would never happen with a domestic car.. only foreign.. The depreiciation is just always too big on domestics..

Those are both Mercedes-Benz
