expensive necklaces !!

I vote for the Paraiba set. But I drool over all of them. Those necklaces are amazing - thanks for sharing!

Even if I will never be able to afford a single piece shown, I will continue to admire them and hope that one day, it just might become mine (uh huh, wishful thinking never hurts, right?).

Even if I win silly big money on the lottery, I am unlikely to buy any of them as I am unlikely to have the occasions to wear such grand pieces!

I would settle for smaller and easier to wear pieces, like a pendant, a ring, a brooch or a bracelet etc...

DK :))

If an unknown great-uncle leaves me a pile, I'd settle for the paraiba bracelet; tough job, but somebody's got to do it.

Hi,

I have 2 1 carat rubies that I have started to collect for just such necklaces. However, I am rethinking my strategy as I can see that my choice of evening dress will be much diminished by the red of the rubies. I will stop that project immediately and put it aside until I make up my mind which color I should choose. And Yes, I am royalty.

I want the rubies still.

Neil. Have you noticed that so many of these grand necklaces have pear and MARQUISE stones. Since they out of fashion, maybe cheaper, collecting marquise may be the way to go. Yes, I have a marquise from a while ago.

Thanks to the Op. I enjoy these much more than looking at Tiaras. Really lost interest in Tiaras after the first dozen.

Looking at all these exquisite jewels made my Monday morning much more bearable!

Yow! I'd love to see that diamond IRL. Also the VCA necklace on a model (better yet, on ME) -- it's interesting & I'll bet really intriguing when worn.

Keep them coming - puleeze! These are gorgeous. And if I can't live that lifestyle to wear such jewels, why can't my next door neighbor?!! I don't think its asking a lot

These are so amazing

not a necklace but....

A historical brooch by Van Cleef & Arpels features a 7.77-carat modified cushion-cut emerald surrounded by circular, marquis and pear-shaped diamonds. The central emerald was once worn by Marie-Louise, the second wife of Napoleon, before the brooch was created circa 1967. It is expected to sell for up to $350,000.

Ha! I put that brooch in my gorgeous jewelry file yesterday. It's sad to see a historical piece like the original tiara broken up, but the brooch is out of this world beautiful. I also am nuts for the jadeite/diamond necklace -- jadeite & diamonds are so wonderful together.

*thunk*

This is an amazing thread. I'm particularly fond of that Graff ruby necklace but I wouldn't kick any of these out of bed.

BUT, even if I had all the money in the world, I wouldn't buy any of them. Why limit your selection? How much do you think it costs to rent one of these babies though? Hahaha. I just need a night or two.

I wonder how that chameleon diamond looks like in irl.

Thanks gayani for updating this thread with more great finds :D
