Don''t worry yet. A lot can change in 9 days.

Man I hope so!

FWIW, accuweather.com says it''s going to be sunny and 74

Don''t look at the weather forecast. I repeat, don''t look at the weather forecast. So much can change between now and then, it''s not worth it to worry. Heck, there was an 80% chance of rain when I woke up the morning of my wedding (outdoors and no back up plan.) Didn''t rain at all until everyone had already headed home! Don''t stress too much!

Step away from the forecasts, girlface! Or at least don''t give them any weight until three or four days ahead of time.

if it''s any consolation, rain is supposed to be good luck! plus, how cute would pics with umbrellas and rainboots look?!?!?! sorry, just trying to see the bright (more like rainy!) side of things

No rain, no rainbows!

No need to worry about that because it''s beyond your control. However, if you are inclined to worry about it, you''re starting too soon. Extended forecasts aren''t very accurate. A lot can change between now and then.

I started a thread for the same reason a few weeks ago! My entire wedding week was forecast to be 10 degrees C below average, with thunderstorms and rain at 90% probability on the day of our wedding.

In the end it thundered and stormed the day before our wedding (we married overseas and so we were doing our last minute paperwork at the municipal offices in absolutely TORRENTIAL rain the day before) and it was so funny, our on-site coordinator/translator told us that she usually has very good luck and that in about 100 weddings in which she'd assisted, it had only rained once!

The forecasts were still for rain and storms right up to the day...

...and then we woke up on the day to fluffy clouds over the mountains and sun shining. Because our ceremony was at 5pm I was still worried that we'd "use up" all the sunshine (!!! what happened to my sensible nature?) but it was 100% perfect.

Moral of the story: #1 Weather forecasts (esp >4 days out, but even up to the day) can be rubbish. #2 You are still marrying your wonderful partner, and in years to come you won't care if it rained or not!

ETA: Buy really gorgeous umbrellas. We did, and I was actually really looking forward to having photos with them over our heads...

I agree to step away from the extended forecast. If you look back through my history you will see I went to a similar thing! On the day of our rehearsal they were saying 70-80% chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon and high winds the day after our wedding (when we had a rented 70 foot wooden schooner for a sail on the bay... non refundable). We didn''t see ONE DROP OF RAIN the entire weekend. Sure, it was overcast. But you know what overcast means? Lovely diffused light and no shadows or squinted eyes for the photographer to handle! Of course, blue skies in photos are beautiful too, but I''m just trying to point out the silver lining to lack of sunshine on your wedding day.

Take a deep breath and step away from the weather forecasts until a day or two before your wedding.

Yeah, I''m just not going to worry about it. Now, it says 86 and Sunny!!
