Fake EGL USA Certificate?

Hi,

Below is a picture of an EGL Certificate for a diamond I am currently looking at:

The fact that this is an EGL USA Certificate but the Report Number is 10 digits, made me question it's authenticity. In addition, I was not able to verify the report online.

Any help is appreciated.

EGL-USA has been through a lot of format changes and they offer a fairly large assortment of services but they've had one they call a 'diamond consultation' that looks like what you're showing. The online database isn't nearly as complete as it should be. Call them up and ask about the report number. They should be able to help but it's entirely possible that they're closed for the holidays. If they're not there, try them next week. They're very friendly and will help if they can.
