So as I've been looking at possible spinels and settings, I've discovered there are all these new awesome vendors since I bought my e-ring.

So someone should buy these so I don't attempt to buy them and seriously annoy my husband and upset the family budget!

This is just so cool. I think it would make an awesome pinky ring but it does look quite large

I think the second stone is just so cool looking and would look great with colorful baguettes on the sides, maybe light blue, purple or pink?

I never would have guessed that those were rhodolites in the ring. That is cool. The tanzanite is such a pretty color. I'm in a gemstone rabbit hole as well. At least you are looking at jewelry as well. I need to start setting what I have.

I have been staring at that tanzanite too. I've already bought too much this year and I'm trying to keep my self control in check.
But come on, that's such a pretty color right? :naughty:

Me too! I've been looking at that tanzy for a while..

Will someone pleeeeeeease buy it so it stops calling to me?!

Ha ha so many people have been admiring the tanzanite with me! I had no idea she was so popular. I was thinking she would look good in setting 28 from Yvonne:

Or possibly in this setting from mochiko42 by jeff davies:

Yes to that Jeff Davies setting! That tanzi would be magnificent!

Love, love, love that J. Davis setting. It will really showcase your stone.

lol lol I, too, have been eyeing that Tanzanite. i have not seen Tanzanite in an asscher before. And that color!!

How much do you need to baby tanzanite? Could it be an everyday ring or just for a special occasion? I think I am somewhat hard on my jewelry. I do take it off for most household tasks but I'm just klutzy in general. I haven't lost any of the pave in my e-ring so I guess that's something!

That's a pretty tanzanite, and I have been eyeing it too :). I love that setting of Mochiko's

It needs to be worn gently. I have one and don't wear it as much as I'd like because of concern for it. Love the color of the posted stone and set in a protective setting it could be worn more often.

Stone Hunter, I think ultimately that is why I didn't pull the trigger. Set in a bezel setting might be ok but I really liked the double claw prong setting and I don't think it would survive frequent everyday wear. Still thinking about it, since the stone isn't terribly expensive though.

I know the feeling.

BUT go slow. I say this because I no longer own anything that I started off with.

Smaller stones - sold or given away
Smaller jewellery - sold or given away

I would surely have saved a lot of money if I didn't make those early purchases. By the same token, I surely wouldn't have learned as much about my likes and dislikes too.

Yes that's what I think too. I get attached to my stones even the ones that aren't expensive. LOVE the double claw prong setting. If you love it too then search for a durable stone with that setting in mind.

Chrono - yes, I don't want to waste money unnecessarily. I have just my sapphire ering and its only about after 3 years I've decided to add minou's spinel to my collection.

It is nice to admire from afar!

Stone Hunter -- yes I think I'll look for a grey spinel, or blue/violet spinel or a topaz or possibly an aquamarine (sort of same problem though).
