BlughingBride''s post about a watch for her husband made me slap my own forehead at my own stupidity - why didn''t I think to ask you guys for tips?

Short story long: my husband just got a new job, and he wants/needs a new watch; wants, because he pretty much never treats himself, needs, because his new job is going to be considerably less casual, style-wise, than his old job. The problem is, he''s picky ....

The watch needs to be:
1) Digital *and* analogue
2) Square
3) Possessed of a metal band
4) Dressy

The last one''s kind of the kicker: more or less anything with a digital function tends to be sporty or cheap. Do you guys have any suggestions? The closest thing we''ve found to meeting his requirements is Rado''s Ceramica (http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:Rado%20Ceramica%20Multi%20Men''s:2002097377), which is nice, but it''d be nice to have an alternative ... help?

You may want to try convincing him to go with either digital or analogue (preferably analogue for a dress watch). Also, if he is absolutely set on having both analogue and digital, he may want to compromise on a round face--there are a lot more options out there. In any case, here are a couple I found (not super high end, but they meet the requirements:

Thank you! (And apologies for the lateness in replying: it''s the first week of classes where I teach, and it''s crazy as always.) These are all fantastic possibilities, the first one in particular. I''d still like to find something a little pricier/fancier, but one of these should work beautifully as an interim watch. If anybody else has tips, I''d appreciate them enormously ....

Would it be possible to have something like the casio for every day wear and have something a little dressier without the digital for when he has a big meeting or something? That might be a nice compromise.

It''s a definite possibility: he has a watch that he loves now that fits the bill, but it''s on a broad leather double-band that looks more suitable for a Goth night than a business meeting. We''re thinking about just slapping a steel bracelet on it and having done, but I kind of want to find something awesome to give him as a congratulations gift as well ....
