Fanta Garnets

So this is the first time that I have something interesting to post. I was able to purchase two special Fanta garnets from David at Skygems. In fact, I found them because he posted on a blog about these amazing saturated stones and I convinced him to part with two of them. Due to mail difficulties in Canada, it took awhile for them to arrive so I decided not to send them off again. I had them set locally by a small goldsmith in a neighboring town.

Because the color of the stones is so rich, we tried to design a mount that let light in so the stones would sparkle. I am really pleased with how everything came out.

P,S, That is not a scratch on the stone in the first photo but probably some dust on the lens.
