Just a hail mary shot in the dark, but ask Malakov if they have heard of the Antique Cutting House that does antique 8 main cushions. The family name is Krik (Benjamin and Fromm) they cut stones in NYC. A "connected" family like Malakhov should have heard of them .

If they could get you this stone(or something similar from this cutter) it would leave you uplenty of room to get the trap or bullet sidestones.
