Curious as to what all of you lovelies are wearing on your nails while you wait for that perfect ring. I found OPI''s "Let''s See The Ring" recently at Ulta 3, a pearly white. I had read in the recent Town & Country Weddings a recommendation for the Lippmann Collections "Diamonds and Pearls". I have demure pinks like Essie''s "Mademoiselle" and "Sugar Daddy". Also just picked up a cute clear with sparklies in it at Bobbi Brown called "Snowglobe". Any other good recommendations for me while I campaign for, and wait for, a gorgeous Emerald Cut solitaire set in platinum?
Thank you!

I love Lancome''s "Beige Marilyn" on my toes. I don''t wear anything on my fingers, though.

Ha! I''m going to buy this just so I can leave bottles of it laying around the house.

I have like 30 different shades of pink, which is what I use most of the time.

LOL! Ok, I gotta try that one. Maybe on our trip to greece? heh.

My current fave is Sally Hansen Beyond Perfect in Almond Essence. Kind of a pink nude that looks great on my very confused skin tone. (Mix italian and irish/scottish and you get very odd colored skin).
This color will also stay on w/o chipping for about four - five days. Almost everything including no-chip polishes start chipping a day and a half in. .... You know, the more I think about it the more I realize my bf should get me a full bezel diamond. I''m far too harsh with my hands.

I'm a sheer pale pink whore too...

My fave brand is Essie and I have a bunch of them .... I have one absolute favorite pink but I can't remember the name of course, DER! Maybe it will come to me later. (ETA I see you already named it, Mademoiselle! I used it for years solely before venturing out into more pinks from Essie).

Some of my other fave soft pink Essies are Vanity Fairest (slightly more pinky), Limo-Scene, Like Linen (slightly less pink more natural)..

In OPI I have Pistol Packin' Pink which I love too.

To me there is nothing classier than a soft pale pink coat on the nails if you don't want to really go all out. It's the most versatile!

I also adore a great french manicure as well with natural nails and just a thin white line!

Can you still get Beige Marilyn? I used to wear the lipgloss and loved it, but can''t find it now in England.
ndnyhagen, one of our fellow posters wears a yummy pink polish that I asked her the name of as I loved it, Chanel Ballerina.

I like pale pinks also, I think a fav of mine was called "ballet slipper" by OPI.

I have the same color and I love it, too. It''s probably one of my favorites.

if I could either afford to get a manicure or be able to do them OK myself, I love a nice fire engine red on my short little nails, or just a nice french manicure style

Right now I am just about over biting my cuticles (a lifelong habit) so maybe I will spring for a manicure.

When I was little mom used to get her nails done every week like clockwork. We would go sit in the salon and I would "help" her pick out colors. I would beg her every week to get purple, lime greed, blue, sparkles...but always RED!!

Of course, she was a pale pink whore too :-) Pale sheer pink, French, or beige. When it was Christmastime we would go see the Nutcracker and she would let me get my nails done too! I would pick red and she would let me get the 80's white trashy glitters on my nails...I had a little Xmas tree on a nail one year. I wouldn't wear the glitters now but it was so fun then

I don't have a ton of memories from before she got sick and that is strangly one of the best.

I adore light pinks so I am definitely gonna check these colors out!

Funny story regarding French manicures....I got one for a wedding and DH, having never seen one of these before (I don''t know how, but he didn''t) was like, OMG - your nails are so CLEAN!!!! You need to go to the salon more often if that''s what your nails look like when they''re CLEAN. Why don''t you clean them that well...? I was like DUH - it''s white PAINT...nobody''s nails are that white.

I agree, I just love the pale pinky-beige colors!

Someone mentioned OPI''s Ballet Slippers...it was a favorite of mine too, but I can''t find it anymore!

I love Essie''s East Hampton Cottage and my current favorite is Ulta''s own brand in TuTu. Two coats of it is perfect!

LOL FG that is hilarious!!! Men!

I am always on the hunt for more pale pinks to try, I love just going into the beauty supply store and looking at the racks and walking out with 1-2 new ones to try.

I also got pretty good at doing my own frenches at home when I had longer nails, right now I''m in a ''short nail'' phase where I keep them clipped short with pale pink polish on....maybe I''ll grow them a little bit for spring and summer!

My fav: Coney Island Cotton Candy by OPI. It''s a sheer pale pink. LOVE it :)

My absolute favorite color is OPI''s "really not a waitress" It is the most perfect red that I''ve found. It''s not for daily wear though (I''m a professor). My go to pink is OPI "mother rode rose"

I LOVE "I''m really not a waitress" it''s a perfect red for my toes! I get compliments on it all the time.
I like "ballet slippers" on my finger nails.

Well, in my purse right now I have 4 polishes, one is some soft-pinky color that used to be OPI, but in the time it''s been in my bag, the name has worn off! I also have Raisin Rum by Maybelline (my boyfriend got it for me in my stocking for X-mas this year) it''s a shimmery burgundy. I also have the Sally Hansen Triple Strength polish, and Sally Hansen Beyond Perfect in Oriental Red. Wait, is that PC? Hmmm.. I love the color, a dark red with blue-ish undertones. With my hair coloring vs my skin tone, it works for an year round color. I''m hispanic/scottish/dutch, with black hair and super pale skin (I''m literally allergic to the sun). This red makes me look no-so washed out!!

Just wanted to pass along a review on the Lippman Collection''s "Diamonds and Pearls" polish that I spied in Town and Country Weddings magazine. I''ve tried it and love it, I think you will all, too. It''s a soft and translucent, in a pearly way, pink with peachy-pink "diamond" flecks running through it. I''ve been really impressed with the wear I''ve gotten out of it. (For $15.00 a bottle at Nordstrom''s, I should be, right?!?) Any other color suggestions? My BF and I are taking a look at a few EC''s next Saturday at our jeweler''s, I want to make sure my hands look super fabulous for that date!

I am in love with OPI''s Sweetheart which is a light pink. I get compliments on it all the time.
