Hi all, I thought I''d share the final proof of my favor. I''m planning to add a pretty pink ribbon to it. I''m so happy with how it turned out.

very nice!--your friends/fam will always think of you when they dress their tree each year

Sorry if I am dense but when did giving guests favors become a popular thing to do for weddings? People used to give the colored almonds and matchbooks and wedding cake. But how long has it been the tradition to give away a real thing, like a glass, christmas ornament, etc? I have been to weddings recently (family) but there was no favors given out. I wondering if this is a regional tradition, generation tradition, cultural, or other.

I got married 5 yeasr ago, and we gave out golf balls with printing similar to the ornament above. All the weddings I''ve been to gave favors like this. Maybe it''s a California thing, I''ve never been to a wedding out of state...

For me, I didn''t want to give a gift that would be tossed away at the end of the night. Jan 6th is also 3 kings day, so for my culture this is actually the day that gifts are exchanged not Christmas morning. I thought it would be appropriate to actually give a gift (with a card explaining this whole crazy tradition that is not common in the US) not just a favor.

What a cute idea! I''d love to see pics of the finished product later on.
