I feel like such an idiot. Long story short, after sending out the majority of our STD''s in December and early January (with a few stragglers here and there), I noticed today that our return address that I put on it is WRONG. I put our street number one off

I just feel like a dunce here! It makes sense that I did it, I used to do it alot actually because both of my previous jobs were on the street thats one off of ours, so it would stick in my head since I would use my work addresses alot while on the job, and didn''t have to write ours out nearly as often. *sigh* Anyways, I know it''s not really a huge deal, but it''s just got me feeling stupid and irritated. Irritated that I messed it up, and irritated with FI who I asked to proof read as I had been staring at it for much to long after putting it together and felt like I had goofed on something but just wasn''t seeing it. Of course he didn''t really look at it all that much and said it''s fine because he didn''t care about it, after which I scoured it some more and still didn''t notice my error.

What makes me feel worse is all the times I remember telling people who asked for our address that it was on our save the date!

Just look at this as your one wedding related screw up. You are allowed one and that was it, so don''t punish yourself (or your FI) any more. It could''ve been a lot worse! At least it wasn''t your rsvp envelopes, right??

I know I know, and I''m gonna be all freaked out when we do up the invitations that I''ll mess it up again! I''ll have to have someone else proof read it that time :)

Oh, that sucks partyjewels! But don''t beat yourself up about it any more. Would it make you feel better to send out an e-mail to everyone, alerting them of the mistake? Especially because some people may be relying on the STD for your address.

But seriously -- I know it''s easy to say it from the outside -- it sucks that it happened after all the work you put into it, but don''t beat yourself up about it any more.

You won''t make the same mistake with the invites.

Man that sounds like something I would do! I''d send out an email ASAP just in case anyone who can''t make it is thinking of sending gifts or cards. Just in case I would knock on the door of the person who actually has that addy and explain the mixup to them just in case anything is sent to them.

I think that''s a good idea claudinam. Just send out a quick casual email telling people your address. And PJ, you are allowed to make mistakes! As many as you need! Don''t worry about it...sometimes I forget my apartment number.

One day, I was leaving the building, the FedEx guy was holding a package and asked me, "are you 4X?" And I said, "no I''m 5Y. No wait, 4Y. No...um. Uh I''m 5X. Sorry." He was like, "ok..." Then I realized I AM in 4X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But by then, he totally didn''t want to give me the package. And I''ve been living here for 9 months! And that''s not the only time I''ve forgotten my apt number.
