I’m certainly not in trade, I bought the stone under pretty unusual circumstances and am trying to be transparent about pricing. I can also repost without pricing info and expect people to make me offers (as I am open to them)

Selling for more than what you paid for doesn’t equal flipping.

I’ve not seen admin speak about selling for more than what you paid for.
I have seen admin speak about flipping.

I also haven’t seen definition of flipping - I feel like it’s a fluid concept.
Admin knows it when they see it, which is the definition that matters.
I think this fluid concept helps members have varying definitions of who is ‘guilty’ and who isn’t.

Now flipping I can see as not cool.
To me, flipping is buying and then quickly turning around and selling for a profit. Not cool, and against the spirit of this forum.

I am actually in shock that this happened today! I havent been on PS for a long time -(months, maybe even a year!) and decided to check in. I loved the silky stone thread and especially one particular blue sapphire; it is my HG stone! I have a mini version of this ring and just a couple days ago I was wishing it was bigger. Yesterday I thought of messaging the seller in case she ever wanted to part with it but then thought against it - what are the chances right?

Today I saw that stone again. I clicked on her profile and her LT sales post for another stone and was going to mention the blue sapphire and that I would love it if she ever didn't anymore. And then right below that listing I could not believe my eyes when I saw it listed on LT!!!!

I am so grateful for this community even though I have not been on much lately. You guys get it and no one else does!!!! I am so grateful to be getting this dream stone and ring.
