FIL''s arrived today!

FI''s mom and dad arrived today from Slovenia! Yesterday I started to get all choked up realizing that they aren''t just HIS parents anymore, in a week they''ll be my mother-in-law and father-in-law. And this is for the rest of my life! It just hit me that wow, now I''ll have this whole additional family! It''s so weird to me...being a girl who never envisioned a life of marriage until I was in my late 20s...

Was I just saying last week "I really don''t think I''ll cry at the ceremony"??? I am going to be bawling the whole way down the aisle.

That''s so exciting! I know how you feel- I''m excited about joining my FI''s family, too. Most of his extended famly can''t come to our wedding since we''re limited to fifty guests, but his sister is getting married just six weeks after us in their hometown so I''ll get to meet EVERYONE soon and I''m so looking forward to it!

MsFlutter--YES, just 5 more days. When my hairdresser saw me last week she was like "Girl you are GLOWING!" I really can''t stop smiling! We took the FPILs sailing yesterday and it was nice b/c it was their first time on a sailboat. We also went to Joshua Tree on Saturday and I got super sunburned shoulders, which are going to peel, I just know it.

Tybee--I know, I''m so emotional too! I read all these posts and the same thing happens to me, my eyes well up with tears and I feel all happy or giddy or nervous. I''m trying to relish these last few days before the wedding b/c I do find myself incredibly joyful and overflowing with emotion. I''m SUCH a dork!

ChickFlick--yeah, it''s a weird feeling joining someone else''s family, isn''t it? Really makes the whole marriage so much more meaningful.

And the closer I get to the date, with all the family that''s slated to arrive each day this week, I hardly feel nervous at all b/c I know I''m going to be surrounded by so many family members that love and care for us.
