Ok, so I finally got my butt around to asking the questions I needed to know before making an appointment to get measured and order my dress. I found out that I should be wearing shoes that have the same height as the ones I''ll wear.
So should I just wear a pair of shoes that I already own and then try and find wedding shoes with the same height? Or should I find my wedding shoes before going in to get measured so my choices aren''t restricted? What did you do?
Preferably I''d like to find something that covers the heel so I''m not getting the dress caught in there when I walk like I do with jeans and sandals, with an ankle strap because those are the kind that are most comfortable because I don''t have to worry about them slipping off my feet.
I love the look of peep toes but have never found a pair that I loved on ME. Something with a wedge or platform in the toe would be nice for comfort, but isn''t a deal breaker as I''ve had comfy shoes that are just regular pumps.
I really want a colored shoe, but don''t know what to go with. I suppose it doesn''t make much of a difference since no one will see my shoes unless I want them to..
This is the thread with pictures of me in the dress I''m ordering for reference.
My mom and I are going to go look around a bit this Friday, but maybe some of you wonderful ladies have suggestions of shoes you think will look good with the dress? It doesn''t HAVE to be in a "crazy" color, but it helps because it goes with my personality I don''t really want to go over $50-75 since my dress was already twice what I wanted to spend, and I''d rather spend "extra" money on our wedding rings.
Of course, all these restrictions might make it impossible for me to find a shoe I like! So really the main points are comfort, to stay under $75 and I''d like to have somewhat of a heel cause FI loves it when I wear my heels and I''m closer to his height, makes kisses even easier, lol.
