Finally some good news...

I even have two good news! One, I have no more planning to do until the school term is over, and two, my wedding dress is IN!!

My mother has been practically begging me for somethings to do lately. My father is away for weeks at a time for work and me and my two siblings are all on our own, so sometimes she gets bored at home... I, on the other hand, have tons of schoolwork (I''m having a weird, crazy term with at least one paper to hand in every week) and I''m getting pretty stressed out... So I asked my mother to take care of the invitations. We bought a DIY kit from Michael''s some time ago, and she just has to print them and assemble them. Putting together and addressing 45 invitations can take a while, so it''s a big thing off our hands! With that taken care of, there''s nothing wedding related that needs my attention until May, except for one registry update or two and going to pick up the dresses... So I''m very relieved!

I''m really excited that my dress is in... I''m surprised it only took 3½ months. I''ve never seen it in the right colour, so I''m a bit nervous! Since it''s in Ottawa and I''m in Montreal and swamped in schoolwork it''ll have to wait until Spring Break, though... We have an appointment on March 1st. Can''t wait!

Great news, Anchor! I hope your registry problems were straightened out. It''s super nice of your Mom to pitch in with the invites. All my parents did were add names onto my list.

Anchor that is great news! I wonder if I can convince my mother to do anything for me. The only thing she has done for me is to remind me that I need to go to marriage prep classes. I know you are finished with that and most everything till the end of your term (yay!)

I will need to find some new dinnerware, but we decided to not go more than once a month, so I don''t have to worry about that right now. My parents have been extremely nice from the start except for a guest list glitch, so I''m lucky. FI''s parents on the other hand...

Thanks! When I saw the dress on a picture it didn''t really inspire me, but when I tried it on, I definitely had the "it''s the One" moment.

Here it is on the model... I ordered in in white/blue pastel like the left pic. My sympathies on having to wait to try on your dress!

Let me tell you that marriage prep classes was the best part of wedding planning. We had so much fun and learned so much stuff. I really recommend it!

Anchor, that''s fabulous! It must be nice not to have to worry about wedding obligations, especially while you''re so swamped schoolwork. I can''t wait to see the dress, in the pictures it looks stunning!
