Long story short, I lost my original e-ring many years ago and for our 10 year anniversary DH gave me a go ahead to start looking for a replacement/anniversary ring. I started out looking at a gorgeous 2.25 J OEC from Jewels by Grace, but ended up with a 2.88 J SI1 from Love Affairs Diamond.

My dream would be to set it into a Single Stone halo I've had my eyes on for years, but for now, I put it into a temporary setting until I make my final decision. I was planning on a simple solitaire but found this setting at a local jeweler which went great with my wedding band so that's where it'll live for now.

Photo from Erica which is much better than mine and shows how bright the stone is.

I can't really capture the stone with my camera, it keeps showing these dark reflections from my camera, but in real life it's bright and white with gorgeous flower patterns. J color is noticeable in some lighting, but for the most part it lights up beautifully.

Very pretty!! Congrats!

Gorgeous! I love the setting you chose! It looks perfect with your band:appl:
Congratulations, it looks beautiful on your finger!

So gorgeous.

Wow, it's gorgeous!!!:love::love: Stunning, and big, diamond! Beautiful setting as well, congrats and enjoy!

Beautiful! It'll take some getting used to I expect, going from just a band to this stunning honker!

Swooning here:love:
What size is your finger? It looks ginormous!
And can you post profile Pics???

It's gorgeous!

Thank you everyone. This stone exceeds all expectations that's for sure. My original e-ring was 1ct, and was just hoping to go over 2ct with this upgrade and ended up with this beauty, who faces up like a 3ct stone with its large spread. It's been over a month since I got it and I still can't believe it's mine, never in a million years I would've expected to own something like this :kiss2:

With a new baby at home I don't really get to go out much, so I wear them whenever I can, like dropping off my 2 year old at pre school or to Target :P2

Lovely and looks huge on your finger!!

I'm usually a size 5, although because the shank is pretty thin on this setting, jeweler sized this as 4.75. Stone faces up as 9.24mm so it's pretty large even for the carat weight, plus the setting is pretty high on my finger which makes it look even bigger. No DSS here!

Profile isn't my favorite, ring has a beautiful band but has the standard stock head which is harsh & sits too high for my liking. It's what my jeweler had available on hand so I went with it, but if I were to keep this setting I would definitely change out the head.

She is beautiful babyblue! Very white and lovely faceting pattern!

Wow. Beautiful! Congratulations! I am so glad you were able to get a new ring while you still have your little ones are not getting out all that much. Gives you something to look at and make you happy while you are up to your elbows in kid duties. Double blessings of beautiful kids and beautiful sparklies. Truly hope you enjoy looking at it every day. I love your temp setting.

That is a gorgeous huge honker! I love the new setting too - the band is super pretty.

What a stunner! And love the setting. Gorgeous!

It’s spectacular!

Congratulations! It looks great on you and matches your band very well.

You should link this to your previous thread for all of us that have been following you journey.

I didn't think of that, thanks for reminding me. Will go do that.

What a gorgeous diamond! And it’s beautiful in the temporary setting you’ve chosen. Congratulations!

Just fabulous. Enjoy your new lovely, blingy ring!

Oh wow, she’s absolutely gorgeous! I do love her facet pattern and she looks very white. What a stunning ring. I agree with you, the shank is beautiful but if you don’t like the head holding the stone you can change it later. Enjoy, it’s fantastic, I’d be forever smiling :)

Oh, so pretty! Congrats!

I know I'm reviving a slightly slightly old thread (not by much) but your ring is freakingly beautiful even in this 'temporary' setting. I did that thing where I followed a few links in a few different threads and saw your ring! Where did you get the setting from? I don't suppose you have a full on side profile picture rather than a slightly angled picture that you would be willing to share with us?

After all the thought and agonising that went into this diamond how do you feel about it now?

@Babyblue033, your ring is really beautiful. I really love the band on your new ring, it goes so well with your wedding band. If it was me, I would keep it, and not do the halo, much and all as I love halo's. The only possible thing I would look at would be neater claws on the diamond itself, but it is a wonderful match for the band.
