finding a setting

Hi all,
Nice informative forum here!
I recently got an engagement ring for my gf. Only thing is I got her a half size too big.
I found one that we like from whiteflash but they dont sell it without a diamond.

Do you guys know where I can get one similar to this?

I believe Whiteflash will make the setting for your own stone. You don''t HAVE to buy theirs.

Hopefully we will get to see some pictures...

This setting will not be shipped without a diamond set in it.

Why not get the current one sized down?

You might want to call WF and ask them what their policy is on settings. It might mean they will set your stone in their setting but will not ship an empty setting for another jeweler to work on.

I'm echoing swingirl here... I think you can first try having your ring setting resized. If the ring wasn't a full pave eternity or something like that it can probably be resized, and for not a huge amount. If it cannot be resized, try selling your setting on consignment if it was expensive, and then send your diamond to whiteflash, who will then set it into that setting you want and sell it to you. I'm pretty sure that's what it means. I think they are just saying they don't want to send you an empty setting for you to take to your personal jeweler to set for you.
