Ok StephanieLynn, this is all your fault!
I went into my favorite gem and mineral shop looking for a blue sapphire, and came out with pink tourmaline!
I drooled over the pink sapphires, and took some photos just for you. But I ended up with two pink tourmalines because I got more bang for the buck. Bigger stones, lower prices.

And these are the tourmalines that I ended up with.
A 1.37 pink pear. It is not bi-colored, just reflecting the color from the stone below.
And a 1.05 raspberry oval. Very hard to photograph.
The photos don't do them justice, they are very sparkly.

MissyBeaucoup, I love that shop. Thousands upon thousands of gems. They have everything.
And prices for every budget.
I must have spent an hour trying to decide what I wanted.
I only go there if I have lots of time.

So let's talk about the tourmalines, they are both beautiful but the pear is really something. Do you have a plan for them?

I bought a head mounting while I was there, with the intentions of a ring, but the pear shape makes it perfect for a pendant. What do you think? Here it is sitting in the mounting.
