It has not been appraised yet, so I am not certain of the specs.
I do love the colors, though!

It does have a small chip in the girdle, at about 6:00 in photo, but hopefully the bezel I'm planning will protect that from more damage.

Last one for now ... have to work.

I LOVE that last picture!!!!!! Stellar!!!!!!!

Wow, check out the fire in that thing!!!

Now that''s a beautiful stone!

WOW, Upgradeable, that''s high praise indeed, coming from you! Yours are fantabulous. Clear photos really are much harder to take than I imagined.

I will post results of the appraisal, and frankly I''m truly hoping it bears out what the seller said, so we can feel comfortable getting what future dh paid for, you know? Getting lower color or clarity would be okay, as long as it was figured it into the price offered. Getting less at this point would leave a bad taste....

I read your recent old cut lovers thread and thoroughly enjoyed it all. I didn''t vote, though since I have not seen anything in person except the oec. What the heck, maybe I should vote anyway, since I''m in love with this one!

It''s stunning! Those pictures are truly great.

What a sparkler. That girdle looks very thin though so that bezel should help protect it from further/future damage.

Beautiful! - do you have the stats?

Yes, that''s the best part! I doubt the photo would turn out well, but the fire is most intense at night in my bathroom with only the night light on. The sun has not made an appearance for days, so I haven''t seen it that way yet. Thanks for looking, Tuckins.

Thank you Kat and Addy.

I hope to try again to get some straight-on shots next to show the pattern ... VERY difficult to do, I''m finding.

Do you really think so? I had planned the bezel after seeing Coati''s, and didn''t know I would have a chip to deal with at that time. So I guess all things DO work out the way they''re supposed to. BTW - I LOVE your old stone too - just gorgeous ... have admired a number of times!

Thank you for the compliment. I think yours is lovely as well. I can''t wait to see it set.

Hi smiley! (That's cute)
I know what the seller said they should be. But I would rather wait til I know for sure before posting, maybe tomorrow with any luck. I think size is .75-.80-ish, though.

Edit: The stone is sitting on a black cushion in the little plastic box it came in. So, it may appear different with another background, I would guess.

Gorgeous! Love the fire. I hope it appraises at what you want!

Yum!!!! What a beautiful fire the stone is giving off!

WOW!!!!

Look at the fire on that beauty! I think OEC''s and Transitional Cuts are some of the most beautiful diamonds out there.

I''m curious to see how you are going to set this one.

Thank you, kcoursolle and platinumrock! This is my first old cut, but I can guarantee it won''t be my last. I can''t wait to see it set either! Thank you both for your nice comments. Maybe an anniversary band like yours, kc except using old cuts?? Oh my stars! Thanks for giving me an idea! Gues I''d better just work on this one for now. This stuff is habit forming. My sweetheart saw me on here and asked why I would be here now that we have the stone for my ring? Isn''t my research done? Hmmm how to break it to him gently?

Ha ha ha!

I was waiting till you posted the specs, but this was too funny. Congats!

Oooooh yum! I can''t wait to see it set!

Hi Musey.
35.gif
We are meeting with James Meyer on Friday to leave it in his capable hands. Not sure how long it will be, but after that, next time I see the "Lil Sparkie" will be at the proposal. It is going to be h-a-r-d to wait, but I can keep my mind occupied here meanwhile.

Looks lovely! I''d love to see more pics!

pretty! pretty! pretty! can''t wait to see it set!

It looks very pretty!

Hi Coati, MissFortune and DB - Thanks for looking! I do have a couple more pics to show you. Maybe all you old cut experts can give an opinion too? We bought it not minding that it was uncerted, and were told it was an oec, but I''m wondering now if it''s a transitional instead. Of course I could wait for the appraisal to tell me, but I figured I would ask you guys too. What do you think? Small table, open culet, but the crown looks rather low, don''t you think?

BBprofile5678.jpg

One more of the pattern... didn''t show up very well, though.

The crown and the pattern look more transitional to me, too.
