First sapphire ring

I have been lurking for awhile, wanting to find a sapphire to be set in a custom halo. I saw some great recommendations for sapphires and chose a 2.18 ct blue sapphire from fine water gems. Gary was great to work with and I just love the color of this Portuguese cut sapphire. I had a local jeweler set it in a two tone setting with platinum halo and an engraved yellow gold band. I just love how it came out and want to thank those on the colored gems for the great information. Sorry for the photos not being clear

@rcjtraveler - beautiful ring! Try pulling it further away from the camera to see if you get some clearer shots.

Thank you all so much. Very excited with how it came out. I had been looking for the sapphire for awhile before seeing the great recommendation here. The color is a little darker after setting, which I love. It is such a beautiful shade of blue in outdoor lighting.

I did send him the pic. He had asked me to when I had it set. Such a beautiful sapphire. I have gotten so many compliments on it.

Thank you so much. The color is just perfect in the setting as I did not want anything too dark. As this was my first CS purchase online I was nervous but the return policy was great.
