First sapphire ring

i have been lurking for awhile trying to learn about blue sapphires. I have learned so much from this forum and decided to purchase a blue sapphire recommended from fine water gems. Gary was great to work with and I love the stone. I had it set in a custom platinum and yellow gold halo setting and wanted to share. Thanks for all the incredible knowledge that is shared. I am hooked on colored gemstones. Sorry for the blurry pictures. I posted in a few places as unsure where to post.

Thank you. The carat weight is 2.18, 7.1 mm by 5.2 mm Portuguese cut.
The diamonds total .6 ct and are F vs2 set in platinum. I had it done by a jeweler in Connecticut- Quqlity Gems. I showed them some inspiration photos I liked. They did a great job and I am really pleased with the quality.

The stone is beautiful. The shape is wonderful. Love the saturation, and how it slightly shifts the color, and the "just right" amount of violet. The setting compliments it very well.
