Today was my first time trying on wedding dresses. I found it really difficult to get a good idea of what they are supposed to look like on me, since every dress I tried on was 2 sizes too big and difficult to pin. Regardless, I think I made some good progress today, and out of this trip I chose three that I liked. I definitely want to go to some other salons and try on some more, but I would love your opinions on the three I have tried on so far! Thank you!

Please keep in mind that they were all too big, so are supposed to be much more form fitting than what shows. Also, they are all trumpet style, even though they don't look too much like it since they were too big.

Dress one...

dress 3 (this one fit the best size-wise so actually looks form fitting, like all the others are supposed to be!)

I like #2 the best but I think it needs a little bit of a crinoline under it, which I NEVER say. #3 is my second favorite, and I do really think it looks gorgeous on you, but isn''t as unique. #1 is ok, it may just be the fit, but I didn''t care for it much at all.

And trust me, trying on dresses too big is a LOT easier than trying on dresses too small. You can at least get the sucker over your shoulders and hips! Good luck on your next trip out!

Wow, these are all so different, its hard to say because you need to ask yourself what style you are going for. Here is my two cents -

#1 and #3 are def my favs. In the nicest way possible, I will say that I do not like #2 AT ALL.

#1 is pretty youthful - fun, sassy, strapless and the ruching is flattering. This is a popular style for many women nowadays.

#3 is very elegant - not sure what that fabric is but, being similar to lace, it carries with it that "antique" feel. It also has beautiful sleeves and I adore the neckline.

So between the two, I think you need to ask yourself - which is your personality? Are you more youthful/fun or victorian/elegant? Or maybe you''re all and can''t go wrong!

FWIW - I had to ask myself this question while dress shopping and it was a hard question to ask. I loooooved the lace (and I actually tried on #2 in your photos) and the first gown I loved was a San Patrick lace gown. The only feeling I couldn''t shake was that, it was too old fashioned - and I''m a pretty spunky 23 year old! I ended up getting a very form-fitting, mermaid dress that I haven''t had a single regret about. My point is, two different styles can each pull at your heartstrings and ultimately, I think you need to choose the dress which is most "you."

Sorry that was a novel! Which is YOUR favorite?

Thanks for you insight! May I ask, what is it about number 2 that you don't like?

I like gowns 2 and 3 best... but I think I would have liked number 1 if it fit properly and I could tell what it was really supposed to look like. I wasn't to fond of the neckline on number 1. I prefer something with a sweetheart neckline, or just not straight across.

I am only 22... so I think you are so right about finding a gown that matches my personality/age! I do have a tendancy to navigate towards old fashioned things.

Ahh... this is so hard! I think I really need to try on more dresses. I haven't found "the one" yet.

Who are the designers of each dress?

I think if the dress FIT... I like #1 the best. #3 is my second choice from the front... and I love the back, but the back looks very vintage and not sure if that is what you are looking for.

All of them are designed by David''s Bridal.

I also like # 1 the best, fitted properly. I agree that a sweetheart neckline might look nice with it, perhaps you could get one made if it doesn''t interfere with the beading?

I think #2 might work well if you''re going for a vintage, very romantic type of feel. However, I''m not thrilled with the look of that dress on you because I don''t feel like it sufficiently underscores your pretty figure; also, it doesn''t at all look like a modern wedding dress to me. Perhaps that is what you''re going for, though.

I''m not really getting a good enough sense of dress #3 from your pictures... it could be very beautiful, I just can''t really say. I prefer less beading, but that''s just my personal taste.

I love number 3!! Looks great on you

I guess that to me, the dress seems to sort of just hang there on your body - and maybe it goes back to the sizing thing, but it seems to need something underneath to really enhance where the fabric changes from lace to tulle. And again, it goes back to the antique feel - you have a great body and #2 just doesn''t do it justice in my opinion!

That is why trying on dresses is so fun though - you can keep looking until you DO find the one and I know you will find something gorgeous that you love :)

I also don''t particularly care for #2 on you, and I think it is because the sash hits your waist in an awkward place. You are fairly long waisted and the design of 1 and 3 work with that, while 2 works against it. I do, though, think that if you could drop the sash on #2 to the bottom of your waistline versus the top it would make a world of difference. I like #3 the best, but I also would love to see #2 altered to fit your shape better.

I like number 1 the best, then 3, then 2. I think that if one fit correctly, it would be stunning. Number 2 just seems to hang there-it doesn''t stand out to me at all.

Gotta say I really like the 1st dress. When it fits better to your figure I think it''ll be gorgeous! However, if you like the more vintage look of the 2nd and 3rd then I''d vote for dress 3. I agree that the second dress doesn''t do your figure justice like the other two. You''re so lucky to be able to have all the dress be large on you while trying them on!! So jealous!

I love number 3! mainly becuase that is the dress i am leaning towards too. did you try it on in all white, or ivory?

I like the 3rd one best. I like #2 but it does seem to just hang..someone mentioned moving the sash-maybe that would help? In the picture of the back of #3, in the mirror I can see the full front, and I think it looks great on you!

I tried it on with the champagne silk underlay with ivory top layer. My consultant told me that if you get all ivory or all white you can hardly tell that there is even lace! In the pictures it looks like all ivory, but in person you could definitely see the champagne underneath.

Wow number three is a definate stand out for me, you look a million dollars in it!

My next pick would be number one then number two. I agree with the others, number two doesnt do your fantastic figure any favours!

Number 3, number 3!!!

#3!!!! the back of it is gorgeous... and i love the neckline
#1 comes in 2nd and
#2 would be my last choice...

#2! love, love, love!

Hi, I would have to say...

Firstly you will have a lot of choice because you have a lovely figure, and I imagine that a lot of styles will look fabulous!

#3 is by far the best and I especially love the elegant view from the back- it adds something special. Perhaps a sparkly brooch detail at the centre neckline would add something interesting at the front too.
#1 is a nice style on you and shows off your lovely figure as well, but if you are going for a vintage and interesting look then #3 is a better option
#2 simply doesnt do your figure justice. Even if it were the right size, I think that it ages you.

What are you leaning towards?
