I didn’t mind it, but I had to go up .5 - 1 size bigger than Flora. Any smaller and I felt like my finger was suffocating lol! I’m honestly thinking Flora holds her own… and I’ll stack a couple bands on my right hand.

I always think I want a wedding band but in nearly 20 years I have never found one I wanted to wear! You’d think I’d figure out by now that I simply prefer to wear my rings solo. But somehow I keep thinking I’ll find the right one eventually :roll2:

Yes I’m getting excited now. But it won’t be exactly casual and I can’t pair it with my three stone! Next on my list after the five stone is to get some more bands.
 
@lavenderdragonfly23 Have you tried a plain, thin, antique 22ct gold wedding ring with beautiful Flora yet? She can hold her own, that’s for sure! She might even work with the gold & an antique platinum very thin French cut eternity on the other side of the band i.e. eternity, 22ct gold, Flora?

I love this idea haha. I know @lavenderdragonfly23 doesn't love yellow gold but if the royals can do it, then they must know what they're doing. My favourite pairing is with a 22k gold band. It is so low key and feels like butter. No fuss.

I also like @Ally T’s suggestion of a gold band! It’s been something I’m wearing a lot recently (although mine are all 18k gold, I’ll need to try on some 22k or even 24k gold next time).

Here is an 18k gold bamboo band with certified D colour 3/4 eternity band. The VCA diamonds are DEF too (I’m not colour sensitive at all but I recently learned to appreciate ice white diamonds set in WG).

Hmmmm….. I’m thinking maybe yes… I’m not sure if I’m ready to make the leap to yellow gold, maybe a really thin 24ct antique band. But rose gold…. Hmmm

I have my eye on a very special antique old euro eternity … the wheels are turning :kiss2:

I know, crazy right? What I would give to see that jewelry box… ahhh, I believe I was born in the wrong century.

I’m always slow to hop on the trend bus, and usually buy the time I do everyone has left the station, lol! But this picture is absolutely gorgeous… you may have just convinced me to hop on the bus :lol-2:
 
Still so in love with Flora … her facets, omg… it is true @maryjane04 … she makes me smile everytime I look at her, even if I’m having a not so great day. This morning I left for work and had to turn around cause I forgot her - mind you I was half way to work and “would” have been on time :lol-2:

She’s just been hanging out in David’s box… but the super sweet Charlotte from Kitty Baxter made her a tall version of her velvet/satin clamshell box (Ms Flora was too big for her standard version lol) Her robins egg blue was a perfect match my bridesmaids gowns from 22 years ago. She was an absolute delight to work with…. Truly. Experiences speak volumes, especially when ordering site unseen and from across the pond. I wouldn’t hesitate to order from her again… in fact I might have a Christmas project brewing for myself I probably should talk to her about lol … :kiss2:

Floras first photoshoot is complete… she will have a second “aqua” themed one and once my hubby is done editing those photos, I’ll start a new thread with her glamour shots … besides, she has a holy grail band that should be arriving this week - that may make an appearance.

Oh @lavenderdragonfly23 definitely worth being late for. You couldn't go an entire day without wearing her!! I'm so glad she makes you feel the joy and excitement that I get when I look at baby K.

Your ring is exquisite!!! It’s a holy grail ring! I’m so happy she belongs to you. You were so patient waiting for her and she was worth the wait and then some. It’s been one of so many fun happy threads on PS. Please wear her in health and happiness. I look at this ring and think BLISS.
 
Now that Flora’s friend is secure and enroute I can share a picture of her…

Quick story time…
Several years ago, I discovered Lang’s archive section for sold pieces, and in that archive I found a piece that solidified my love for antique jewelry. It combined old, with something every girl has dreamt of at least once in her life… Tiffany.

In the very early part of the art deco period, Tiffany sold engraved channel set platinum eternity bands, usually with french cut diamonds. There were, however, a select few made with oec’s. Over time the setting for these bands would change and Tiffany no longer engraved/milgrain’d them, and you would see more with transitional and carre stones.

I only knew of three of these oec bands. The one Lang’s had (would have been too big), one that was on listed in Preloved that sold just as I inquired about it, and one that was listed on IG and immediately sold the week Flora arrived (would have been too small).

That is until I found this one, in my size.
Exciting, right? Yes, but no …
The best part is the date…

The date inscribed on the band … 11/23
My hubby proposed on 11/23 :eek2:

She’s currently being overnighted and will be home tomorrow.

I would like to introduce Ms Cinderella …

Thank you!!! I have a photographer on retainer for next weekend once Cinderella arrives. My poor hubby, I mentioned going to the craft store for aquamarine colored props and his response was …

“I just did one!?!”

To which I laughed and responded in the most sensible tone:

“But Flora needs one with Cinderella that’s aqua themed”

To which I got the most epic eye roll known to date :lol:


Am I wrong? Nope, I’m never wrong :lol::lol-2::dance:
