Thank you!!! I have a photographer on retainer for next weekend once Cinderella arrives. My poor hubby, I mentioned going to the craft store for aquamarine colored props and his response was …
“I just did one!?!”
To which I laughed and responded in the most sensible tone:
“But Flora needs one with Cinderella that’s aqua themed”
To which I got the most epic eye roll known to date
Am I wrong? Nope, I’m never wrong
So I just went and read over the thread again and realised I never commented. So remiss of me, so let me say what I was thinking when I’ve read over the last five pages and change…
There’s very few posts on PS that have reduced me to tears, and it’s not just because Flora is stunningly beautiful, though she is. But we see some really beautiful jewellery on here, so for my heart to skip a beat and my eyes to be dazzled and for me to utter a soft “wow” under my breath - all of which have happened over the course of this thread, btw - well, that’s happened before on PS.
But what’s made a lump appear in my throat and legit, actual, tears appear in my eyes (ugh I sound like such a drama queen) has been reading over your journey and your love for your husband. The exquisite care you’ve put into each and every detail - the three extra years you’ve spent researching and narrowing down the perfect stone, that absolutely stunning setting with such a poignant and beautiful inspiration behind it, the name you chose for your ring - Flora, for such a lovely flowery OMB, even the ring box dyed the colour of your bridesmaid’s dresses… but also that stunning wedding gown for your renewal (just so classic and chic), and more than anything, the feeling that this is a culmination of a journey but also a love letter and testament to a relationship that has clearly weathered so much in the best possible way. 23 years in and you talk about your husband in a way that I can only hope to feel about someone someday.
And then seeing the band, another holy grail, with the added serendipity of your engagement date having been engraved on there… it feels magical, like it’s meant to be. And it’s just such a powerful thing, somehow, that it’s all coalesced into this moment and I feel privileged to have witnessed a glimpse of it.
So, congratulations, but also thank you, because this made me emotional reading over. I wish you many many many more happy years and many many many more happy moments staring at your treasures - both material and not

I took a couple quick pics with my phone but my hubby will do some much better pics hopefully this weekend.

There is just something about these two pieces together… the band, though 2.4mm thin, is breathtaking… it could easily be a stand alone piece. The stones are beautiful. The craftsmanship and history … even the engraving is still in such great condition. I feel so blessed to have this band. I love just the two together- but I may put a solid thin band still - just in case it rubs on the prongs - so I can preserve the engraving on Cinderella as much as possible. She will be a daily piece.

Wouldn’t it be fascinating to know who the original owner was & her true love that gave it to her almost 100 years ago? What happened to them? Where are their family, etc?

Aww…. Thank you! I’m so happy you love both of them… it was a lesson in patience and never settling for us too. Never in a million years would I have thought a diamond… let alone Flora and Cinderella. Hang onto your dreams, always… there is always a way. Stay consistent and keep moving towards your goal, eventually all the little steps will get you thereHad been waiting on the Ban Island thread but the beauties are over here! Congrats on the beautiful pair and the upcoming vow renewals and PLEASE mod shots (close up, afar, outside, inside) so we can all drool in awe some more! How would Flora feel about an aqua colored mani as background?
Everytime me or my hubby look down, neither of us can believe Flora is ours.
