Tell me about, I freaked out too when I realized the band didn't look like the stock photos, but it turned out to be perfect because the gaps on the band allow for the perfect amount of space for the ering leaves; and the color is an exact match, I was worried the two rose gold's wouldn't have the chemistry and therefore the same color. So so happy it all worked out

I know this thread is more than a year old, but thanks for your wonderful story and the end result, one of the prettiest rings I've ever seen. As my sweetheart and I build our ring, I too combed ebay and other sites and ended up with a handful of OECs and new vintage cushions. My wonderful jeweler convinced me that he wouldn't let me "Frankenstein" a ring, so I ended up sending all of them back and will go with a solitaire, but I long for them! Your ring is dreamy in every sense. I love it and I thank you for your inspiration.
